Just for the record, as the OP, I did not call anyone a “Nazi”.
I purposely put quotes around the text I cited, I did start the thread, but I’m not sure how that implicates me into calling anyone names.
Let it be known though the original article mentioned the fact that the global warming skeptics were called names first, FYI.
I didn’t mean for my post to say you called anyone a Nazi. The article pointed to made the inference, not you personally.

I thought I read somewhere that there was a period of time called the “Medival Warm Period” around 800-1000 A.D. where the climate was warm enough so they could grow crops in the Southern part of Greenland. The Scandanavian explorers who settled there were actually able to grow crops and raise animals and built settlements. then when then climate cooled down to present levels they either died off because of exposure and starvation or had to leave.
The native peoples (Inuits) who lived there were able to better adapt, as they were more used to the extreme cold.
Also that they grew grape crops in England at this time, and are not able to now. If this is true, the warming surely wasn’t man-made, as technology as we have it didn’t exist then.

As far as the weather channels climatologist- sure- just silence anyone who doesn’t agree with you.
but that’s what secular liberals seem to want to do.
You see it over and over again-“Hate speech” and the like.

We need to get students (of all ages) to take some of the topics and research them … looking at the science and field data and limitations on the computer models involved.

This would sort of be a useful exercise for science projects.

And also provide useful information for adults attempting to respond to both school boards showing the “Inconvenient Truth” movie as well as contradicting their local weather experts.

I just surfed past Glenn Beck and he’s got one of the guys on who they are trying to decertify. The show should be repeated; maybe anyone reading this can record the interview and play it back later.

This controversy is very interesting:

“They” (the left) wants to cut off debate on anthropogenic global warming; BUT they want to extend the debate on the troop “surge” in Iraq.

“They” (the left) are “pro-choice” on abortion, but they are against choice on education.

Does anyone see a trend here.

Could this trend be construed as a form of hypocrisy?

And, do we, as Catholics, have an obligation to the truth to point out these inconsistencies?

AND, when a topic is controversial, they want to silence critics and refuse to debate. Cullen … Gore …

Anyway, here is Cullen’s blog again (a repeat from post #1).

Thank you and have a nice day.

Reading through Heidi’s backpaddling, she says things like this:
I’ve read all your comments saying I want to silence meteorologists who are skeptical of the science of global warming. That is not true. The point of my post was never to stifle discussion.
Nobody is arguing about “the science of global warming”. What the flap is about is that Heidi insists that global warming is man-made.

Well I’ve noticed a trend of the left wanting to silence anyone who doesn’t agree with their agenda- tolerance and dialogue-NOT!
Not when it doesn’t agree with their “commandments”
Abortion protestors are jailed and charged with “RICO”
Pastors(in Sweden) are jailed for daring to preach against homosexuality.
Abstinence can’t be taught in schools
Neither can Intelligent design
“Hate Speech” on college campuses
Pro life Democrats cannot speak at Democratic convention(or even attend sometimes)
Can anyone think of any more?

So much for tolerance and different points of view!
And it’s gonna get worse, IMO

Yes we have to speak up and you have made some excellent points. We have to speak up or we will soon not be allowed to.

The disruptive behavior by some of our tolerant and respectful libertines on campus whenever a “conservative” - not that I care a whit for the Ann Coulters and Sean Hannitys of the world - is invited to speak is repugnant, especially when contrasted with the fawning adulation afforded to speakers such as Jane Fonda.

Thus speaketh Persona* - Global warming? You ain’t seen nothing yet!

Revelation 16:8-9

And the fourth messenger did pour out his vial upon the sun, and there was given to him to scorch men with fire

and men were scorched with great heat, and they did speak evil of the name of God, who hath authority over these plagues, and they did not reform - to give to Him glory.
