Had a great workout this morning, I’ve increased the weight that I’m lifting by about 5lbs. I feel good and starting to feel stronger, my ds feels lighter when I pick him up now:D.

Hope everything is going well with everyone else, God Bless you all and keep up the fight:thumbsup:!!!

I have lost 43 lbs since January 29 by counting calories & exercising. I would have lost a lot more (I think), but I have fallen off the calorie wagon a few times in the past couple of months.

PS - I still have 39 lbs to go.

I had a good cardio workout today:D, looking forward to doing my upper body workout tomorrow.

I feel good and I’ve had several people ask me if I’m losing weight:thumbsup: :D. What’s weird is that I haven’t lost any scale weight:shrug:, but my clothes are feeling looser so I must be gaining muscle and losing some of that nasty:eek: fat:extrahappy:!!!

Have a good night and great day tomorrow, keep up the good work:thumbsup:!!!

I need to get to my rosary prayer but wanted to write and say I am back to square 1 weight wise and am fighting the battle, not giving up!!!

I think I’ll even take a nice walk later with my son in his stroller with one of the dogs.

Never give up!!!👍

Had a great workout today, my diet has been going very well:D. I’ve noticed that even on my free day I really don’t care to eat unhealthy food:eek:, that’s gotta be a sure sign that my lifestyle is changing:thumbsup:. Well have a great day everyone!!!

Well, I have the official weight loss dilemma.

All of my big clothes are way, way too big. I don’t yet fit in my pre-pregnancy clothes yet. I had one pair of pants that fit that were suitable for Mass. And they got STAINED in the wash last week!  I ended up having to wear very baggy clothes to Mass and it was very embarrassing.

I think I have no choice but to go up tonight and buy an outfit that will likely be too big in another month or so. This stinks. This really really stinks.

I also hit a plateau. That really stinks too.

Had a good weekend, I’m still going easy on the cardio cause of my back pain, but other than that it’s been good:D!!!

I will need your prayers this week more than any other time since I started:o, we’re going to be out of town this week and staying in a hotel so cooking is out of the question:(. I went and bought some resistance bands so that I’m able to workout even though I won’t have any weights. The cardio should be easier, I’ll put ds in the stroller and we’ll go for a brisk walk:thumbsup: to get the heart going:p.

I won’t have a computer so I don’t think I’ll be on here for about a week:(, so keep up the good work everyone, don’t give up and pray that God gives me the will power to do what I need to do to reach my goals even when I’m out of town. This is a real test, lets pray that I pass it!!!

Ugh…weekend was a disaster…too little exercise and too much eating. And we’re headed to NYC next weekend…another smorgasboard of temptation!! At least I’ll be doing lots of walking! One step forward, two steps back!? :banghead:

My family found a great product called OxyMagic from Clorox. It is a stain remover, not a laundry additive. It is the only thing that has removed some awful stains from liver bile on clothing. (Mom has pancreatic cancer that required placement of an external drain from her liver that occasionally has leaked.) It made her upset to have a stain on practically every piece of clothing, so my sister searched through most everything on the market until she found this stain remover spray. I’ve used it to get out orange, greasy hot wing sauce, grease and other horrible stains from cotton without fading or bleaching.

As an alternative, if the pants are a natural fiber like cotton or linen, then you could just dye them black or another very dark color in the washer. I do an occasional dye job on black clothing to renew the color when the garment itself is still quite wearable but fading. I’ve also covered a stain before. Just be certain that you don’t fill the water to the top level while the dye is in so that you can do a couple of wash and rinses at the full level to clear all dye out. Using a cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle will help to set the dye in new clothes also.

The pants have already gone through the dryer so I’m doubtful the stain will come out now. But, I’m going to try running them through again because the stain was caused by washing them with a new red shirt (OOPS :o ), so maybe there’s hope that the red dye will still wash out.

But I do like the idea of dying them. I actually have a few black shirts that could use a dye job. Maybe I’ll pick some up today and try it.

I broke down Saturday and went out to buy an outfit for Mass. I hoped to find something at the thrift store but no luck. So I went to Walmart and ended up finding a rack of their Lee pants on sale for $11.50. I picked up a khaki pair and a denim pair. That oughta get me through for a month or so until I’m down another size. I also picked up two shirts for $3 a piece. Not bad. So at least I have something to wear now. My wardrobe situation was in the emergency category, lol…

I had a great workout this morning:thumbsup:. It was hard to do after not doing much exercise for a week:blush: :(. I can’t believe how hard it is to eat right when you’re out of town, not much to choose from:mad:. Anyway, I’m getting back into my routine and I pray that I won’t break it again until my 12 week challenge is over, I am half way through:D, I can’t believe I’ve been doing this for six weeks already:D!!! How’s everyone else doing?

Well, I lost a bunch of weight over the last two weeks, around 4 inches off each of my measurements. This is a good thing, since our wedding date is coming up like a steaming locomotive. This is a bad thing since all the stress over the event apparently caused me to get horrible acid stomach, for the first time in my life! Ow, it was like having a hot knife twisting between my lower ribs! Since this had never happened before (nearly everything I like is bitter, sour and/or spicy) I had no idea it could get like that. 😦

I couldn’t consume anything except a little clear soup, room-temperature water, and very weak, barely-sugared tea (even those hurt pretty badly!), and that’ll make you skinny in real hurry. I’m happy to be thinner, but this is not the way I wanted to do it. Luckily I went to the doctor, and am mostly feeling better -whew! I will capitalize on my lessened appetite though. 😉

Oh my word!!! I just got my Rebounder and used it today for my cardio workout…let me tell you it’s a workout:thumbsup:!!! It’s a lot of fun and it gets your heart pumping, not to mention working your muscles, especially your calves!!! I couldn’t finish the twenty minutes I planned on doing, I had to stop at fifteen minutes and my calves were burning:eek:!!! It was a great workout though, I think I’ll be rebounding instead of doing the treadmill for a while cause this didn’t hurt my shins or back, thanks Princess Abby for recommending this, I just started and it looks like it’s going to be one of my favorite things to do:thumbsup: :D!!!

Back from NYC…ate like a field hand…and the food was fabulous. I guess the trick is all the walking…when you’re on your feet moving 7-8 hours/day you can eat pretty much whatever you want (I actually managed to LOSE 2lbs. while there!). Now back to my regular workouts and watching what goes in my mouth!

I didn’t have a chance to read through all the other posts, but I did want to put my 2 cents in.
I LOVE pilates! I do winsor pilates. Winsorpilates.com.
You lose inches so fast! I’ve gone down two sizes since this summer. It’s really easy to do & I also use my treadclimber a little. If I had to choose between the two, though, I’d pick pilates.
I’m not really sure what others are talking about when they say yoga is bad. Pilates doesn’t seem to have any of the meditation things that were referred to about yoga. At least not the winsorpilates. 😃

Back to working out tomorrow and logging my food… doing Light Weigh (Catholic weight loss program).

Ugh. DH brought home a nice juicy apple pie the other night. My atkins diet is over.

I would have been able to resist but I hit a stall and was just getting frustrated. I think I’m going to forget atkins and try something else that leaves room for “cheating” once a week. I was going out of my mind with not being able to have just ONE bite of something good.
