Hi there,
First time poster here. I have been trying to find some post related to mine but it has not been similar to mine. I have been praying during work a lot more recently. However, in the past few weeks, I have had some weird experiences including some dizziness when praying while walking around my office (especially when doing a Marian prayer) and just in the past three days at work, my uvula felt swollen. In addition, my blood pressure seemed to go a bit higher even when seated during prayer compared to after. However, when I am not praying I would not feel dizzy when walking in the almost the style as if I was saying the rosary. I am not sure what to make of it as to whether it is really a spiritual battle or just something else.

I would occasionally feel like my breath was being taken away, with a sense of full-body tingling, but that was “my” evidence of the Holy Spirit’s activity. Always in prayer before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Has not occurred in years, but, oh, when it did!

I think you should consult your doctor and check your blood pressure and make sure everything is ok.

Hi,

It’s good not to make too many connections about spiritual battle.
Your blood pressure may naturally go a bit higher when praying seated due to when not praying just simply because you are doing an “act”.
Regarding when standing up and the dizziness,it’s probably better that you avoid praying while standing.

Is your blood pressure otherwise in normal range?

It’s nominal. However, the uvula feeling is pretty recent since it started on Saturday when I was at work and only starts during my prayer.

I’ve had a similar sensation while not getting my work done. 😎

If your uvula is swollen then you are getting a sore throat.
That can arise from shouting too much.

Praying constantly while working could be going beyond what God is asking of you. What you are experiencing sounds like fatigue.
It is not possible to do three things at once.

Saint Ignatius of Loyola wrote:
‘If satan cannot tempt you to sin, he will tempt you to do too much good; so that you end up too tired or too busy for family/ friends/ hobbies/ recreation/ rest.’

Your work is a prayer to God is done with love of God.

Start each day with:
‘Blessed Virgin Mary, I offer you my thoughts, words, deeds and actions of this day…’

And probably what suits you best is:
Work time is work time,

And prayer time is seperate,

As another poster else mentioned,it likely sounds like fatigue to me or beginning of infection.
