Well this is just 100% insane!

If the author of the site truly believes that Mary is God, they are anti-Catholic, not Catholic.

JP2 already said what the Third Secret of Fatima was anyway - his own shooting. These people are nutsos.

I can’t see how this can be viewed in any other way than as a Heresy. 😦

Oh brother. We already know the 3rd secret!!! I would say “Nice try” to that website but…it’s pretty weak. 😃

Peace be with you!

These poor people are either completely insane, or this is an anti-Catholic attempt to say that Catholics worship Mary, so that other anti-Catholics can site this “Catholic” source. However, it seems like if that were the case (unlikely as it is), they would not have called Benedict XVI the anti-Christ.

In Christ,
Rand

Fatima fervor driven to the extreme. Not any less insane than Pius XIII. All you need to start a new church is a webmaster.

I’m so sorry to see such a thing. This is the kind of thing that some (not all) non-Catholics get a hold of, making it an example in order to say “See! See! They worship Mary! Now let’s talk bad about them and how wrong they are, because obviously it’s true!” And of course, it’s not true. And then the whole argument begins again… “Do Catholics worship Mary, Do Catholics worship Mary?” I wish they would call themselves pagans if they are going to believe that way, instead of parading their blasphemies off as “Catholic”. 😦

Can you believe that there is a catholic momement which considers mary as god!

Unbelievable!

They call Pope Benedict XVI an anti-Christ pope. Do they sound like Catholics to you?

If you preach heresy (e.g. Mary is God) then you are not preaching Catholicism.

First, I also suspect there is something fishy here. I also wonder if this isn’t a cleverly placed hoax to fuel anti-Catholic bigotry.

Secondly, private revelations, such as the one at Fatima, cannot, by definition, introduce dogma. They can only reaffirm what has already been a part of developed doctrine or the deposit of faith, given once for all at the time of the apostles. As “Mary is God” is not part of Scripture or Tradition and not developed doctrine (such as the Assumption), this claim is ridiculous.

Well that site is anything but a Catholic site, they call the Pope the anti-Christ, and they try every conspiracy out there.

I would wager that the site was put up by an anti-Catholic, bent on trying to discredit the Catholic Church.

However the site is so poor, and the material so inaccurate and ridiculous, only really ignorant people would fall for this.

Yes… Heresy personified. It is frightening stuff.

I read a little of the site, boy, this person is quiet bold!!

Here, he shares his credentials, which are not very impressive
January 25 2006

Writing is the least of my talents. My command of English is unmistakably poor and my background of theology and philosophy is almost non-existent. Every single article that you find here is an agonizing and time-consuming effort on my part. Oftentimes, published articles here had to be re-edited. In short, I should not be writing and much less should I indulge in matters of Theology.

Indeed I am worthless and nobody. And precisely for these reasons I must blindly obey and do the Holy Will of God. And this is what God the Most Holy Spirit commands, – that the Catholic Church proclaims Mary as God because She Is His Most Holy Soul, His Spouse, His Church!
He says, in brief, that The Trinity is God, and that Mary is the “being of the Most Holy Trinity.” He uses analogies that don’t seem to be at all relevant. Person is to soul, existence is to being, Adam is to Eve. Like, maybe if he was into philosophy, he could make it make sense, but he says he’s not.

He claims that in 1994, Mary supposedly appeared to him, and he said he’d be her humble servant, and he revealed some secrets that she told him. One of them is "the True Message of Our Lady of Fatima, which was revealed to me after the year 2000. Mary is God; Mary is the Soul of the Holy Spirit.

That’s the low-down, about all you probably care to know without having to actually go to the site for more than a couple minutes.

He’s pleading for help and support, **I don’t expect he’ll get much of a following. Mainly because his webpage is so poorly designed. 🙂 Oh yeah, and his message is kind of odd. According to basic Catholic reasoning, God doesn’t make such extraordinary announcements w/o the support of the ordinary ministers. Even Jesus had instances of support from some of the Jewish leaders. And support from previous revelation (the OT). As has been pointed out, this guy’s going against previous teaching on “who/what” Mary is.

The site is pure claptrap. I wish they had an open guestbook to sign. I would let my opinon of their heresy be known.

While I was looking for something else on a totally different topic, I came across this, from the Summa:

Part 1, Question 45, Article 7
Whether in creatures is necessarily found a trace of the Trinity?
Objections…
On the contrary, Augustine says (De Trin. vi, 10), that “the trace of the Trinity appears in creatures.”
But in all creatures there is found the trace of the Trinity…And therefore Augustine says (De Trin. vi 10) that the trace of the Trinity is found in every creature, according “as it is one individual,” and according “as it is formed by a species,” and according as it “has a certain relation of order.”
Now note… I am not setting forth some obscure argument that “Mary is God” or that “Mary is the being of the Trinity.” No, I was just interested in seeing how St. Thomas approached the topic of how the Trinity is represented in creatures, namely humans.

If you read the rest of it, you’ll see, but just from the excerpt above, it’s clear that it’s a “numerical characterization” that he is getting at. Basically, man has “number, weight, and measure” and that’s three principles, which makes it apparent in the natural order that it’s not unreasonable for God to be one Being but three Divine Persons.

It may be an arbitrary identification of 3 principles to support church doctrine, but if the heretics at that site try to use Aquinas to support their fiction, they are grabbing at thin air, because Aquinas in no way supports their claim. He’s talking on a completely different level. The “trace” in the question is a numeric principal, not an identification of any person actually “being” God.

No, but I can very easily believe that there is an anti-Catholic movement that pretends to be Catholic and which says that it considers Mary to be God.

What a scary group, if it is more than just one individual that is.

Show a woeful misunderstanding of Catholic Teachings.

Fatima is a private revelation. Nothing revealed there can add to or supplant authentic Catholic Teachings.

Nothing from a private revelation can be binding upon Catholics.

No Catholic has to believe that Fatima was real.

It’s unfortunately a very big hoax. No Catholic will fall for that, hopefully. It’s always been the Church’s teaching that there is only one God, and that Mary is in no way to be considered a goddess. This is clearly a misrepresentation of Catholic teaching.
