Me too, I keep checking for updates online but I haven’t seen anything.
 
“For the Greater Glory” (2012) was amazing. I think it was one of the best movies I have ever seen, however despite its star cast and excellent production quality it only had a limited theater release so a lot of people never knew it was around.

I think one of the reasons this film hits the mark for me at least is because of it’s Marian aspect. Some of the most memorable scenes from this film involved Mary, played exceptionally well by Maia Morgenstern. These are two of my favorite scenes from that film below.



Hard to argue with the OP’s The Song of Bernadette. I never tire of watching the first apparition scene. One of my favorite movie scenes of all time. It starts at the 16 minute mark of film. (below) That music score from Alfred Newman is extraordinary!

‘The Sound of Music’ comes to mind as a movie that I felt mostly portrayed Catholics favorably, although it wasn’t primarily considered a “Catholic” movie. As a Protestant boy, I left with a positive feeling about Catholics in general after watching it for the first time back in the day, although it was obvious that Maria (Julie Andrews) wasn’t meant to be a nun. 😀

I don’t know if it’s exactly Catholic, but I love For Greater Glory about the Cristero War in Mexico
 
Yes. I loved that it was from the perspective of the skeptical pagan military officer played by Robert Taylor. Good girl Deborah Kerr’s simple faith changes him.

Nice love story, heroic story, pageantry and Peter Ustinov’s creepy Nero and equally creepy female pagan power broker Poppaea played by Patricia Laffan.

I sometimes confuse Quo Vadis (Leo Genn’s character were also great in that) with The Robe (Richard Burton and Jean Simmons meet Caligula … < Jay Robinson 😱 ) and maybe Demetrius and the Gladiators. All of them were good.

I was deeply inspired by “The Mission” starring Robert Deniro and Jeremy Irons.

It’s definitely worth a watch! It’s very artfully done. And it’s a true story too! It won the “Grand Prix” at the Cannes Film Festival.
 
The sequel “Where Angels go Trouble Follows” wasn’t bad, either.
 
The Singing Nun, Song of Bernadette, The Robe, The Greatest Story Ever Told
 
One movie I’m hoping to see soon is Diary of a Country Priest. The novel is one of the most spiritually impactful books I’ve ever read and I’ve heard that the movie is a masterpiece as well.
 
The Cardinal was an entertaining movie. Although I’ve heard the book is better and the movie leaves out a lot from the book. I’d like to read it sometime.

Hahaha! I saw that one a while back for the fun of it and I found it campy and cringeworthy, but entertaining, in an odd way. I did enjoy Jack Lemmon’s performance. It’s certainly an interesting look at how the Church was portrayed in the ‘70s and early ‘80’s though.
