These peculiar shirts.

The internet is dangerous […]
Your first post touched on advertising, which is the topic here. This post is not. If you have much more to say about the perils of the internet, please create your own thread.

I’m done sorry it offended you.

I said I block them in a previous post and was defending my position

Today’s ad:

Trousers that don’t fit the model, so they are sure to not fit me.

😳

Today I’ve got this ad for what I assume are costumes to dress up like a person from the ’70’s. Halloween is next month.

F_Marturana - me too! But not here. This is the optical illusion shirt ad I get on yahoo! 😛

Thank you all who have participated in this thread. Seeing the ads you have posted, I’ve come to the conclusion that the ads we see are not specific to CAF. Different members see some of the same ads, which I think the ad servers serve on other websites as well. Other ads seem to be targeted to the individual user according to what they have recently clicked on.

I haven’t figured out whether CAF can choose which ad categories to include or exclude in their ad service. Lately I have stopped receiving ads for short shorts, leggings, and other buttock-revealing apparel. If this is not due to CAF’s intervention, it may be due to my flagging of those ads directly with the ad service.

You can flag ads too. The ad services usually give the user some options for the individualized aspect of the ad service. Click on each of the tiny controls in the upper right corner of the ad for more info. Both symbols may appear, or only one, depending on the ad service used at that moment:

Ok, seriously though, I’m not seeing any ads on CAF any more. What’s going on?

Well apparently, Bill Murray has a new line of golf attire. I have absolutely no idea how I got that ad, but I like Bill, so all is good. 🙂
