“I think good stewardship would be a nice bullet rather than caging a destitute, tortured animal in an overcrowded facility that it will more than likely die in anyway.”My understanding is limited to that your $10 in donations goes towards dog food rather than soup that can give a roomful of people a meal? So be it.
We are lucky to have the freedom to decide what to support. Where did I suggest otherwise?
I do not support animal charities, you do. We can agree to disagree.
I was referring to the above statement specifically in saying that your understanding was limited.
And I suppose that you could say that your understanding is limited in that I give to (monthly) both Church / St. VdP (monthly food donated, as well as cash) / various Catholic charities as well as an animal charity or two, and (my fave secular charity) - modestneeds.org .
For those us of that the Lord has blessed, we can give to more that one thing. So your zero sum approach doesn’t work for me. Your initial post came off a little judgmental, that’s all.
