I really love CAF very much.My request to our rich fellows or who is able to donate, please continue your donation for CAF&save CAF from all problems.lord jesus bless you and all people.:amen:.lord jesus please save CAF forever.:amen::bible1::shamrock2:

Donate money for each Jack Chick booklet you find!

That would help this site stay afloat, and would tick off Jack Chick! 🙂

God is merciful. I know He smiles and blesses those who do good things in secrets… but this time I think it is a good idea to show our support.
It would be very comforting to see the familiar names in this thread. I did send my share, too.🙂

I would like to propose a suggestion to the people operating this forum.

When I first found this forum, it was via Google. I was researching answers to a question I had about old Holy Week legends that my late mother had told me about, from her former life as a Catholic (she converted to Judaism.)

Anyway, I remember typing “Catholic”+“answers”+“holy week legends” (or something like that. That was how I found this site, and I had NO idea when I first came here that it was an apologetical site; I assumed from the name that it was simply an educational site to get questions answered about the Catholic faith. This is why I was caught unexpectedly, when people started trying to proselytize me as a Jew (unfortunately for them I come from a background in exit work that made me well prepared! 😉

But I wonder how many other people find this site the same way I did, thinking it is just an education site?

And wouldn’t this site be more popular with the people who are your primary audience (Catholics), if it WERE an educational site, and not also an apologetical/conversionary site?

Changing the nature of the forums might keep the rabid anti-Catholics away, and the moderators and Catholic members could spend their time more on what really matters to them, and not have to spend hours debating fruitlessly with people whose minds are made up?

Frankly I think CA has way over-extended itself. At a time whn other catholic ministires have merged en masse in the US.

The internet is key today. More than radio or print media.

I’d suggest CA cut back CA Live (the radio show) to 1 hour. Or reduce This Rock to just 6 issues per year.

Cutting out the website will do more harm than cutting back the radio ministry or the publications. IMHO.
I agree. I have absolutely no interest in the radio programs or magazines. I never bother with anything else on the Catholic Answers site except for these forums.

I enjoy debating religion. If the site was changed to an educational site, I would be gone.

Next time a Mormon or Jw come to your door tell them they have make a donation to CA before you talk them
How about Catholics pay for the privilege of pointing out our error on your own forum, and LDS can support LDS forums so Catholics can have the same privilege of pointing out our error on our forums.😃

How about Mormons pay for the privilege of proselyting on St. Peter’s square and leaving LDS print material in our churches.

This website is severely in the red. What are you guys going to do when it closes? is there a different site to go to?
We Catholics through the Grace of Jesus Christ have the fulness of his teachings through the Catholic Church.

The Question is, what will the Protestants, and others do, when it closes down. I feel sorry for them because they come here wanting the full teachings of the Catholic Church, it is Jesus Christ bringing them here to convert to Catholism. I know they may think otherwise but it is Jesus wanting them to become Catholic.

I pray for their sake it does not closes down.

It seems your sense of humour is diminished tonight. However, you are most welcome at Temple Square anytime to speak to us of all things Catholic - free of charge. 🙂

Well, you timed it to where I was just defending Catholicism from a bunch of anti-Catholic Mormons. Seems I don’t really need to qualify that with “anti-Catholic” though, as it becomes more and more obvious to me that all Mormons are anti-Catholic.

So anyway, I’ll take your advice and start handing out Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth and The Continuity of the Catholic Church to the visitors at Temple Square. And ask them if they have heard the true message of Christ, found at the Cathedral a couple of blocks up the road. And maybe leave copies of the Catholic Catechism in Mormon churches.

No need to defend you comment. I was just kidding.

I think that anyone, if acting in a suitable demeanour, could do what ever they want in Temple square. We are used to some doing things that are very outrageous, in our minds at least. So some sensible people, like Catholic people would be, will be a refreshing change. Speaking for myself if a found literature that you suggest in the back of pew, I would be interested enough to read it. The LDS community is not such a closed a society as many believe.

Reminds me of the OP coming here, posting 3 posts, one of which links to the LDS website and hasn’t checked back in since. 🤷

Evangelize yes, proselytize, no.

And no, I won’t be going to Temple Square. Mormons aplenty hang around the Cathedral, so I’d say God is doing a good job of getting them up the street a couple of blocks where they can hear the Truth.

Who are the anti catholic mormons on this site? And all mormons are anti-catholic? Now who has the persecution complex?

This site does not look poor at all. In fact the site just announced that it is growing by leaps and bounds. Not something a poor site would claim. This site is probably awash in money. Anyway to check the books??
