What are the best Bible verses to prove Jesus is God? Any ideas?

To prove that Jesus said He was God? From Mark:
14:61 But he held his peace and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him and said to him: Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed God?
14:62 And Jesus said to him: I am. And you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God and coming with the clouds of heaven.
To prove He is God? Anything involving His resurrection.

I hope I don’t seem rude but. It seems like he says that he’s the son of God and not God. I don’t know why I think that. Can you help me understand?

Sure! The interesting part is bolded.
Those were extremely controversial words to say, because of what God said in Exodus:
3:13 Moses said to God: Lo, I shall go to the children of Israel, and say to them: The God of your fathers hath sent me to you. If they shall say to me: What is his name? What shall I say to them?
3:14 God said to Moses: I AM WHO AM. He said: Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: HE WHO IS, hath sent me to you.
To say “I am” was to claim to be God. Jesus said “I am”, because God is.

God the Father proclaims Himself the Alpha and the Omega (the First and the Last).

.
ISAIAH 48:12 “Hearken to me, O Jacob, and Israel, whom I called!
I am He, I am the first, and I am the last.
.

Jesus the Messiah proclaims Himself the Alpha and the Omega (the First and the Last).

.
REVELATION 1:7-8 7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, every one who pierced him; and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. 8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
.

Both statements are correct.

Hope this helps.

God bless.

I was reading though the book of Galatians recently and this passage jumped out at me. “For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel. For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ”. (Galatians 1:11-12) Notice the fact that Paul makes a distinction between a man and Jesus Christ. He [Jesus] is more than a man.

John 5:18
“This was why the Jews sought all the more to
kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath
but also called God his Father, making
himself equal with God.” RSV

Another verse that I like is.
Code:
Mark 4:37-41
“And a great storm of wind arose, and the waves
beat into the boat, so that the boat was already filling.
38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and
they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care
if we perish?” 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind,
and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased,
and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, “Why
are you afraid? Have you no faith?” 41 And they were filled
with awe, and said to one another, “Who then is this,
that even wind and sea obey him?”
Cf. Matthew 8:24-27, Luke 8:24-25

Matthew, Mark and Luke knew that their telling of this miracle
would bring to the mind of the good Jew the following Psalm.
Code:
Psalm 107:23-31
“Some went off to sea in ships, plied their trade on
the deep waters. They saw the works of the LORD, the
wonders of God in the deep. He spoke and roused a
storm wind; it tossed the waves on high. They rose up
to the heavens, sank to the depths; their hearts trembled
at the danger. They reeled, staggered like drunkards;
their skill was of no avail.
In their distress they cried to the LORD, who brought
them out of their peril,
Hushed the storm to a murmur;
the waves of the sea were stilled.
They rejoiced that the sea grew calm,
that God brought them to the harbor they longed for.
Let them thank the LORD for such kindness” NAB

Can you imagine Jesus preaching on this Psalm the night before the miracle ? Maybe?! This miracle above clearly points to Jesus being divine. On another occasion when Jesus calmed the wind and the sea He actually uses the Divine Name “I am” in Mark 6:50

Mark 6:47-51
“And when evening came, the boat was out on the sea, and
he was alone on the land. And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them. And about
the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. … (50) for they all saw him, and were terrified. But immediately
he spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; have no fear.”
And he got into the boat with them and the wind ceased.
And they were utterly astounded …”

In verse 50 above, the words “it is I” are literally translated as “I am” from the Greek. See section below on “I am.”

What Christians do you wish go prove his divinity to?
If they are not christians then the Bible is unlikely to help.

To prove He is God? Anything involving His resurrection.
Can He be seen sitting on the right hand of the power of God and coming with the clouds of heaven if He was not rise froYem the dead?
It seems like he says that he’s the son of God and not God.
Good question. In Jewish culture, the first born son bore the identity and inheritance of his father.

Why on earth would someone just blurt that out to you…what arent you saying! Everything depends on context.
There is not set silver bullet response.
Your response depends on context.

it was more like something on Instagram. This guy was commenting on a post where he was “correcting” people saying that Jesus isn’t God. I didn’t approach him because i didn’t know what to say, until now 🙂

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by this. But it would seem strange that God Himself could not defeat death. While Jesus performed many miracles, none were as amazing as His resurrection (except maybe for Him forgiving people’s sins).

So the issue is what Jesus said isn’t it…what was the argument about?
The rest was a figure of speech.

God told Moses on Sinai “Tell them I AM sent you” - the Divine Name.

At Gethsemane, to the armed mob, Jesus answered “I AM” at which they drew back and fell to the ground - the Divine Name.

The Prologue of the Gospel of John

1* In the beginning was the Word,

and the Word was with God,

and the Word was God.

2He was in the beginning with God.

3* All things came to be through him,

and without him nothing came to be.

What came to be 4* through him was life,

and this life was the light of the human race;

5* the light shines in the darkness,

and the darkness has not overcome it.

/…/

10 He was in the world,

and the world came to be through him,

but the world did not know him.

11 He came to what was his own,

but his own people* did not accept him.

12 But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name,

13* who were born not by natural generation nor by human choice nor by a man’s decision but of God.

14 And the Word became flesh*

and made his dwelling among us,

and we saw his glory,

the glory as of the Father’s only Son,

full of grace and truth
.

15* John testified to him and cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘The one who is coming after me ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’”

16* From his fullness we have all received, grace in place of grace,

17* because while the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

18 No one has ever seen God. The only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, has revealed him.

There’s a book, here in Brazil, named “As Grandes Mentiras sobre a Igreja Católica” (translating: “The Big Lies about the Catholic Church”).

In this book, the authors treat this theme as well. Basically, Jesus did not leave us the option of believing in him without our having the faith that he is God himself.

Take the verses from Mark 2: 5-12, for example.
“Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, ‘My child, your sins are forgiven.’ 6.Now some scribes were sitting there, and they thought to themselves, 7.‘How can this man talk like that? He is being blasphemous. Who but God can forgive sins?’ 8.And at once, Jesus, inwardly aware that this is what they were thinking, said to them, ‘Why do you have these thoughts in your hearts? 9.Which of these is easier: to say to the paralytic, “Your sins are forgiven” or to say, “Get up, pick up your stretcher and walk”? 10.But to prove to you that the Son of man has authority to forgive sins on earth’ – 11.he said to the paralytic-‘I order you: get up, pick up your stretcher, and go off home.’ 12.And the man got up, and at once picked up his stretcher and walked out in front of everyone, so that they were all astonished and praised God saying, ‘We have never seen anything like this.’”
Mark, 2 - Bíblia Católica Online

There is that consideration about the three “L’s.” Either Jesus is the Lord (for doing things that only God can do), or a Liar (for saying it without actually being it), or a Lunatic (for saying and believing that he is God, without being God).

However, the account of the apostles, their chosen witnesses, as well as countless believers converted in the early years of the early church, including St. Paul, indicate that Jesus is God.

As has already been said, recalling the words of Jesus himself, “he who sees me, sees the Father”.

He CONSTANTLY refers to Himself as the Son of Man, a reference to Daniel (7 I think).

But, just read the first page of John.
