Time. I am giving up more time out of my day to pray. I plan to pray the rosary daily. I hope that it becomes so ingrained in my daybthat I continue the practice after Lent

We are not very rich, but maybe some food and i wish with all my heart sinfull thoughts

Same here except instead of the Rosary I’m going to do Lectio Divina.

All junk food/snacks, and time to pray a novena to the Holy Family and follow a prayer book for my future wife the rest of Lent.

Haven’t decided yet. But I would like to give up a bad habit and replace it with a good habit.

Many things are on the list, but one is the internet, (other than e-mail which is wise for me to access a few days a week)
I don’t own a computer and I use my phone for everything online.
For many years I never had any access to the internet other than a library. I miss those days.
I’m thinking of buying those dictionaries I’ve seen at my local thrift store for a $1 for myself and others.

I use the Oxford dictionary online now much to my chagrin.

Complaining and time spent watching TV and YouTube! And hot showers on Fridays!

Sweets.

And profanity when angered. 😔

If I get angry about not eating sweets, I will be out of luck. 😏

Anything with sugar.

I’ll be using honey in my coffee, but it’s not the same.

Every year I hear the same question(s). It does aggravate me. Lent is my own private spiritual journey. It is a contract between God and I. Not God, you and I. If individuals want to share this short time of meditation, reflection and/or sacrifice or penance-fine and do so. Just don’t ask me. It feels-for me-an invasion of my inner sanctum. If you are a teenager, a new convert or a person that really needs help…don’t ask me 'cause I probably won’t say.

Nothing really come to my mind so I didn’t really put much thought to it.

I’m giving up complaining and bread. Also, I’m going to do more regular “self-care” to fight my chronic depression, anxiety, and C-PTSD symptoms.

Happy Mardi Gras, everyone!

Have a holy Lent! 😇
