That I woke up to another new day with new opportunities to co-operate with His grace, that His love never ceases and His mercies are new every morning.
Thankful for another day of life to grow in my relationship with Christ and his blessed Mother. Also for the grace to hang in there in suffering and accept its mystery.
I’m thankful for being pain free today for the first time in months. I’m thankful for my grandkids visiting this weekend. I’m thankful for the prayers of the members of this forum.
I’m thankful for my friends, and for my pets too, and for all the generous people who on this forum pray for others and the intentions of others. I’m also thankful for God answering our prayers, for His Providence.
I’m thankful that even though my tremors were acting up this morning, God stepped in during communion to calm down my hands to receive the cup and serve as EMHC.
I’m thankful for my sons, my wife, my daughters in law, and my grandkids.
I’m thankful for the priests and deacons in my parish. I’m also thankful I haven’t had a stroke watching the Eagles game!
I am thankful that I have confession and absolution.
Saturday, I committed a moral sin. But there was no confession available at my parish, because of a parish festival going on. As a result, I was unable to participate in communion on Sunday. I felt bad about that. But I prayed on the matter. My feeling is that I must try harder in the future not to commit that sin. And that if I want to be able to receive communion, I must learn to try hard in my life.
Hopefully, this has been a learning moment for me. I must make amends.
This Saturday, I will go to confession. And then Sunday, I can receive the sacrament.
Hallelujah!
