What are your feelings, regarding Father Corapi?

I love Fr corapi and I will never tire in saying so. I went twice to his conferences and I truly believe the man is holy. He is on fire and this is spread to others as in Pentecost.

I believe him to be a modern say St Paul. St Paul was also not so well-liked in his day because of his upfront and in your face manner. Like St Paul, Fr Corapi has a charism of apostolic preaching and with it, quite a few responsibilities.

The last conference I went to, when he said his goodbyes, I cried like a very close friend was leaving me. My heart was so sad and yet, when he said that we will meet in heaven, to catch up onour relationship with him, my heart bounced for joy! God bless you Fr Corapi! May the Lord keep His Face shining on you!

What are your feelings, regarding Father Corapi’s style or approach? Pease be nice; no personal attacks on Father Corapi! If you believe in tolerance and a need to be charitable, then this belief should apply to everyone, including Father Corapi. I don’t want to know what you think about Father Corapi. I want to know what you think about his “approach” or “style”.

Do you believe that one approach is better than another?

My question here, has to do more with a particular style, or approach and not with any particular person. I have used Father Corapi here as an example, because he and his style is fairly well known.

I ask this question, because I believe that the truth remains the truth, regardless of style, approach or, the person “telling the truth”….The truth is the truth!

Your thoughts?

I would like to hear the “official” non-Catholic, Protestant and/or “former Catholic” response to this, if there is one, my guess is that there are many different Protestant “twists” on this subject. I like the man.

I don’t find him inspiring. He’s dedicated and he means well, but his style does not inspire me. I sense a lack of compassion in his evangelization. Still, he’s done immensely good work in defending the faith and strengthening the Church.
I agree and I’ll go further and say I find him offensive at times. Sorry but I do. There was another thread like this not long ago and we debated Fr. Corapi for a long time.

First of all being direct and no nonsense is fine.

Many people on CAF make the mistake of thinking because someone doesn’t like Fr. Corapi it’s because they don’t want to hear the truth. That is nonsense. Fr. Corapi has said a few things that did not set well with me at all. He often gives his little personal commentary and spin on things. Example, telling everyone that they should be leary of people with too much education and going on about it. Heard him do this on the radio. That is scary talk to me. In one is his “wake up America” u-tube video, it’s not there anymore (I wonder why) he used the tragedy of 9-11 to ramble on about the sin of Americans. It was in very bad taste.

I’m sorry but he lost me on that score.I also have personal issues with him because he hunts bears for sport. I have trouble reconciling that, sorry.

He also has his picture plaster all over his website and in his books which I find odd.

Interesting. I personally do not disagree with his doing any of those things. In fact, I saw the “Wake Up America” video and thought it quite poignant. But that’s only me. 🤷

Also, it would be easy to pick apart the voluminous life’s work of any religious leader and find objections here and there. But it is good to take care not to throw out the proverbial baby with the bathwater. Father Corapi has led so many Protestants and fallen-away Catholics back into the faith, and what’s more, into a love for orthodoxy. That is no small feat.

He speaks with firm authority and is charitable. I had the chance to meet him and for those few minutes we talked, I had his attention and he was not distracted or in a rush. He understands well his ministry. Great guy ! 👍

I personaly think Father Corapi is great!!! He is srate forward and only teaches dogmaticaly. I spend hours whatching his dvd’s.

It’s hardly in bad taste. What is in bad taste in the reveling, the literal championing in sin that America does—as in San Fancisco condemning the entire Church.

Sodom and Gomorrah has to come to mind.

The reference to be leary of people with too much education could be good advice a lot of times. I have heard lots of stories of professors pushing there own beliefs on students and getting them to accept ridiculous claims about GOD. This line is also read in “The Imitation of Christ” by Thomas Kempis. This book should be read slowly and meditated on.

I like Fr Corapi but I do understand anamchara being put off by the bear hunting picture…to be honest, I think its been photo shop edited a bit. Part of it just doesn’t look real…

On the 40th Anniversary of Humanae Vitae

The Catholic Church is in the process of celebrating the 40th anniversary of the prophetic and landmark encyclical of Pope Paul VI, Humanae Vitae, on human life. At the time the Holy Father promulgated the encyclical there was a general spirit of dissent in the air. This inspired document put the dissenters into yet a new orbit, even further from the center of Church teaching. Their lack of humility resulted in disobedience, ultimately resulting in moral death for them and countless others.

I second that Shoshana!! Thank you for this. I find that many times Fr. Corapi is speaking directly to me!! He is really (I believe) a very holy man. I will listen to him ANY chance I get.
As far as I’m concerned he is one of God’s most wonderful gifts to His Church. He is a voice crying out in the darkness.

I’ve never seen him in person, but on TV he’s a very dynamic preacher of the TRUTH. I don’t think it’s his style that some people don’t like - it’s what he’s saying. He states the truth IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS. Homosexuality - wrong. Abortion - wrong. Contraception - wrong. Ordination of women - wrong. Dissent from Church teachings - wrong.

He doesn’t say, well, we’re really sorry about our stance on abortion, and maybe it’s right, maybe it’s wrong, but just come to church anyhow and we won’t talk about it and we’ll all just get along (and you can keep putting money in the collection basket). That seems to be the stance of a lot of the clergy. Father Corapi shouts from the rooftops that wrong is wrong and right is right, if you don’t like it, too bad, your feelings don’t change wrong and right. If we had more priests like him, we wouldn’t be in such a mess today.

I like Fr Corapi and I agree with Mea Culpa’s post. Too many priest avoid too many topics that are contraversal for some parishoners. They have become wishy washy. Sin is Sin but allot of people no longer believe that Sin, purgatory or hell exist.

Because you are well aware of the TRUTH as witnessed and preserved within the content, context, and language that encompasses the scriptures, then you must also be well aware of just how dishonest and colored your general, simplifed comment is (above in large italics). Unfortunately for you and any institution you represent, such statements no longer have to go unchallenged and shielded from the biblical and scriptural facts that expose your words for what they really are. The days of false biblical weaponary against gays and lesbians are numbered. And fortunately because of the power of TRUTH there isn’t a thing that you or anyone else can do to stop it!
