Es ist in der historischen Richtung, den Sinnesrahmen von Hitler und von Nazi Partei zu verstehen gut, wenn man Deutschland während Weltkrieges zwei studieren soll. Das Buch zeigt auch, was eine Looneymelodie Hitler war.

Okay in diesem Kontext kann ich Ihre Anmerkung verstehen. Ich dachte möglicherweise Sie, wo eine jener Leute, die wirklich das Buch für den ******** Hitler mochten, spuckte!
On a side note your German is pretty good 👍 !

I’ve read Bulfinch’s Mythology and look into it from time to time for a reference to the myths when needed.

Have you read “Till We Have Faces” by C. S. Lewis? It is a retelling of the story of Cupid and Psyche, as if it were history upon which the myth was based. You might enjoy it.

And, I think myths wonderful expressions of the human desire for the divine and ineffable strictly from a natural understanding. Reading mythology prepared me for such works as Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia and sci-fi works, as well. There is something in mythology that reveals the heart and soul of man, isn’t there?

At present I am reading “A Miscellany of Men” by G. K. Chesterton, which is a collection of articles he wrote on faith and social issues. As well as, “The Battle for Middle-earth: Tolkien’s Divine Design in The Lord of the Rings” written by Fleming Rutledge, an Episcopal minister whose analysis is rather good but who is spoiling it for me by dragging in his opinions on the war on terror and comparing it to Tolkien’s timeless classic. And I am also reading another faith-based analysis of “The Lord of the Rings”: “The Power of the Ring: the Spiritual Vision Behind the Lord of the Rings” by Stratford Caldecott, the director of the Chesterton Institute for Faith and Culture in Oxford, England. His is a deeper work than Rutledge’s and harder going, but it is much more satisfying than Rutledge’s work, IMHO.

Ich bin ein grosses Geschichte Büffelleder gerecht, das beide Seiten eines Konflikts studieren mag.

I just read the new C.S.Lewis Bio, The Narnian, last week. I think it’s by Alan Jacobs, who’s a reviewer for First Things. I really enjoyed it, being a big Inklings fan. Highly recommended. I also re-read Brideshead Revisited, which is one of the best novels ever. Oh, right. I read A Peaceful Retirement, by Miss Read, too.

I have The Years of Rice and Salt, Best Catholic Writing 2005, and some short stories by Sheila Heti. I should read all of them in the next week and then give them back to their respective owners.

Right now I’m spending a lot of my spare time watching Firefly and turning into a silly fangirl, so I’m not getting much reading done this week.
 
I am reading “Faith and Reason” by (it is in my car right now-oops), but great book. I am also reading “The Sword of the Prophet” , by Serge Trifkovic. IMHO every person on this earth has a responsibility to read this.

I’m currently reading the Chronicles of Narnia. I’m on “The Silver Chair”.
 
It Takes a Family by Rick Santorum

It is a refreshing blend of politics and some religion. A little harsh on the other side, but uplifting in all the good that can be done to help the poor.

Just finished it, I’ll probably switch to whatever the book club chooses in November. 🙂
