I would recommend starting with Karl Keating’s CATHOLICISM VS FUNDAMENTALISM, along with CATHOLIC AND CHRISTIAN BY ALAN SCHRECK.

Getting deeper in, I would recommend THE CATHOLIC CONTROVERSY by St. Frances de Sales (available from TAN Books & Publishers) and THE FAITH OF OUR FATHERS (also available from TAN).
One that was really helpful to me, to disabuse my mind of the idealized picture I had of the reformation period anti-Catholics (I thought of them as saintly heroes fighting the old Whore), was the book THE FACTS ABOUT LUTHER (which is also available from TAN Books).

Actually I would sent them to this website:

amm.org/chss.htm

There are several free correspondance courses. The one I would recommend first is “We Believe” and it tell just that. Exactly what we believe.

They also have:

**WE WORSHIP—A GUIDE TO THE CATHOLIC MASS **

**THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS **

**A CATHOLIC GUIDE TO THE BIBLE **

**THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING CATHOLIC **

**THE CATECHISM HANDBOOK **

CHRIST’S MOTHER AND OURS

I’ve taken all but one and they’re wonderful.

Well I haven’t seen this yet but I strongly recommend The Lambs Supper by Scott Hahn. I also love to give people Catholic and non-Catholic the Immation of Christ.
