What specific differences in your life do you notice when you get a little bit lazy with your prayer life? Or am I the only one.
Amen!Falling into sin, lack of appreciation for mass (Lord have mercy.), and laziness in living my faith. All horrible things.
Amen.Mark 14:38
Watch ye and pray
that you enter not into temptation

Sometimes I get excessively drawn into worldly matters, and feel spiritually empty. I then take stock in what’s going on, regain some ‘distance’, and hold-alone with Christ, where I belong. I’m in the process of overcoming one such episode now. What specific differences in your life do you notice when you get a little bit lazy with your prayer life? Or am I the only one.
Well said. You just described what happens to me, too, except I have a wife, instead of a husband.I lose my focus on Christ Jesus and instead, focus it on myself and my ‘plight’. I get very self-centered and agitated over the littlest things. I succumb to the same temptations I’ve had in the past, with little resistance on my end. I end up despairing or doubting, and am a general annoyance to my husband.
No - you’re not the only one. I ONLY WISH I could get into a personal prayer regimen - and stick to it ! How could I notice a difference when I’m so lazy / apathetic or find excuses all the time? Too many temptations - TV for one, and I’m exhausted most of the time. What specific differences in your life do you notice when you get a little bit lazy with your prayer life? Or am I the only one.
