When deciding to wear, a girl/woman is deciding what she intends to do for that evening, therefore putting on tight jeans, showing your tummy and cleavage is indicative of what she is intending to do that night/evening.
All women should be clothed in nun’s habits, period. You make think it a little harsh but telling the OP to “go girl” when deciding what to wear is immoral and wrong. Our choice of clothing is a reflection of Our choice to follow Christ or disobey Him. Nuns certainly have chosen Christ and are consecrated to Him.
Such a falsehood has been spread by satan that we need to judge others by appearance instantly when we meet them. Think of what the Blessed Virgin wore in her lifetime and the vestments she appears in at an apparition.
Just because society has somehow made it appropriate to dress extremely immodestly does not make it OK by Our Lord’s standards. This also means that skirts just above the knee are gravely sinful. I can tell you that before i fully came back to my faith, skirts just above the knee were enough to cause me to sin. I echo the above sentiment that cleavage is either shown or not. And it should always be NOT.
I cannot believe that any Catholic should have to think about whether short skirts/low cut tops etc are EVER morally acceptable(i.e at a wedding). They are not, PERIOD.
What a state we are in, that on a Catholic website, we have members posting pictures that I would personally immediately look away from in a normal day to day glance. Bikinis in any shape or form are WRONG. They seek to congregate all that is wrong with our society and display it for men to lust over.
May the Lord help you all in seeing how immodest nearly everything we wear really is.
Im male, and the honest truth is thus:
tight jeans
cleavage
ANY gap between top of jeans and t-shirt
short skirts
skirts with slits in them that go up up up
tight tops that exagerate cleavage
dresses that are too short or those that dont cover the top of the body
very loosed t shirts that allow men to have a look when a woman leans over
ARE ALL VERY VERY WRONG. There are definitely more that i cannot/dont want to think of right now.
The best way to think of it is like this:
If one were going to meet Christ what would you wear?
Christ is watching you at every point of your life. He knows the intentions behind the clothing, and the numerous men that have sinned because of one days immodest clothing to whom the person who wore the clothes IS RESPONSIBLE!
Repent of your evil ways. Clothe yourself in such a way that would not incite lust in a man. You know FULL WELL what kind of clothes do, so dont buy them.

) because I often wear tank tops and/or shorts when I’m cleaning or exercising but I wouldn’t wear them out.
