What cross are you carrying right now?

I’m dealing with several things. Trying to forgive some people in my life who severly wronged me in many ways, financial hardship, and extreme loneliness. The kind where all you can do is bang your head against a wall and scream. I guess this ties into my hubby because he wants to help, but I am miles away from all my family and friends and sometimes a girl needs more than just a hubby. hehehe

I ask because, out of nowhere, my eye blew up and I was diagnosed with shingles in it.

?
God bless you, this is devastating hope you come through with no lasting bad effects. I am struggling with diabetes complications (hope your situation is not related to this) and intense flare up of arthritis and fybromyalgia, trying to stay on my feet and walking, other exercise is out of the question right now

despair, depression and an unending desire to commit suicide and go to hell.
Dear God, have pity!

My heart goes out to you! I can understand despair and depression but why would you desire to go to hell? Do you have a sense of total despair? Do you avail of the sacraments and have you sought professional help?

I’ll pray for you tonight.

God bless you,
Noel.

😦 Oh, I feel for you. I’ve had shingles too. Not in my eye… on my right hip. And it was terribly painful. I can’t imagine the pain you must be suffering, in your eye. (((hugs))) It’ll get better, so hang in there. In the meantime, I’m inspired to hear that you’re offering the pain to Jesus… in union with His Passion. You have been given an opportunity to save souls. 🙂

The cross I am carrying right now… is that (last week) I had to give up my job of 8 years, to care for my dear mother (who suffers from Alzheimer’s). Caring for my mother is not the hard part (she is a blessing, from God). The hard part is that my own future is now very, very uncertain. Except for my mother, I am alone. No family to fall back on. And that is very scary to me.

But… I will take your lead. And I will offer my feeling of isolation and lonlieness to Our Lord, in union with His Passion. Because I know that He felt alone, too… when all His friends abandoned Him on Good Friday. God bless.

While dealing with the pain and incessant discomfort, I’m reminded that this is an opportunity to carry a cross with Jesus in His Passion. It’s not easy–heck, I’d love for nothing more than this contagion to go away NOW–but using it as a cross for Him helps.

So, if I may ask, what cross are you carrying now?
I do carry a spiritual cross as well as a physical one. But I also carry a literal cross in my pocket any where I go…Saint Benedicts Crucifix on a wooden Rosary. Never leave home without it.

Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum.

I know how scary that must be for you, along with the loneliness and isolation. I will certainly pray for you MarieVeronica!

bit of a faith crisis for me.

I just seem to have spiritual amnesia or something. I know of God, but I can’t seem to remember quite who He is. I am told He loves me, but I can’t remember what that love is. My head is blank and my heart is hard. I’ll probably pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet soon (strange atm though, seeing as I don’t remember what the Heart of Jesus is or why they hell I should trust it…)

I can’t pray for you because if I turn to God, I am just looking at a stranger. Instead, on a human level, I hope you all work through it. Apparently this God guy helps… I would start there…

See you all soon, and don’t worry, His son went through his own Passion, and he died from it, for us. So remember: there is always someone who had it worse: Christ. Last I heard he is doing pretty well for himself… I wonder if we can’t do the same too…
