God had no need to pretend to curcify anybody. Jesus was put in that position and prayed to God that he be saved. And he was the only way he could have been saved which is a graet miracle in and of itself. Jesus was unconscious on the cross and the great storms had scared away the jews. The primitive people of those times really thought he was dead but he wasnt. In the tomb for three days adn three nights he healed enough to walk again and escaped the city without making an announcement about it he took mary with him and a couple of other disciples. If he had not escaped the city in this fashion the jews would have put him right back on the cross. Jesus had a much greater mission in life, to ifind the lost ten tribes of isreal and save them.

First of all - the Romans were excellent in their mode of torture and executing
