Good Morning!
What do you think about this: Did the crowd know that God wants us to forgive rather than blame, or did their notion of faith encourage blame?
Thanks, Simpleas. Have a great day!
Yes, that is a good example. Faith involves relationship with others and with God through prayer. Why would the person decide to reject the relationships? Well, we reject relationships when we are angry or discontent in some way. Is the person in touch with the fact that these relationships are the source of life of life itself? If so, why would a person reject? Self-destruction? All self-destruction is a matter of ignorance or blindness.Hello.
Ok so for example, a person of faith for many years just one day decides to reject that faith would not have any idea of what they were doing? Is this a good example?
Yes, it doesn’t take much to trigger our anger and resentment sometimes, even toward those we love a great deal. Those who were close to Jesus, even if they were triggered, would have sought to forgive. Those who were not so close had no compelling reason to forgive. Some in the crowd may not have heard of Jesus until that time, others maybe a few years, welcome him in faith that he is the messiah, but then reject so easily…
Yes, confusion in itself is a matter of conflicting ideas, right? I think that in the moment, though, the condemning part of the crowd was not feeling confused. Their call for crucifixion was certain.Once confusion sets into our mind, we can make the wrong decisions, we see that even now.
