Well I’m kinda new in this forum so please excuse me for doing anything seemingly wrong.

Back to the question! As a male 23 year old trying to figure out what a catholic girl are looking for in a man, really becomes biased quite fast. I live in a country that gotta be the worst country to be a catholic in… not joking! They don’t know what the word chastity mean and even the thought comes off as being… well from the stone age and everything is kinda like a hell compared to USA. I know both countries. I’v been around a lot of girls but most is brainwashed to be complete Swedish barbies… so iv come here for information! 🙂

So i had this idea of asking y’all girls/women here what is really the top 5 things you are looking for apart from looks and money. Cus don’t we all want that!?:p:rolleyes:

Now this is mostly for informative and for fun. Not really intended to argue if its wrong or right to have things you are looking for in somebody!!! We can take that somewhere else 🙂

So lets start! 😃

Someone who is romantic and kind. Someone who understands what she is feeling without her having to tell you that she is sad. Also someone who is confident without being an a**. Someone who can take care of her-you have to have clear goals and ambitions. It shows her that your life is not messy and she will know that you will be a good husband. Someone who is strong in his faith. Someone who respects her goals and dreams. Oh, I could go on and on 🙂

In general, a girl wants someone she feels safe with, someone who loves her deeply. The rest (how many kids he wants, humour, interests etc) usually varies depending on the type of girl you are pursuing.

As a guy I have found every single “What do women look for in a guy” topics on anything on the internet whether it be forums or blogs or whatever completely worthless. You can have everything a woman wants in a guy but if she does not think you are good looking, she most likely will pass you up. Not to mention a lot of women say that they want a nice guy but fall for jerks. Best to just be yourself and find out what a woman wants on a individual level, not as a whole.

A lot of men would envy you your location. A lot of men here, at least in the US seem to like Swedish Barbies. 😃

I find men who are humble and who exhibit a quiet and calm strength to be especially attractive.

You are Swedish right? When I lived in Hawaii I met two Swedish engineers who worked for a local engineering consulting firm. They liked living in Hawaii very much.

Well not to brag but there is ALOT of beautiful girls here but no catholic. Makes it even harder for us catholic guys that is nearly extinct. 😛 Their hate towards the catholic church is pretty frightening when they show it… 😦

Man they sure is lucky to get a job in Hawaii!! 😮 Envious!! 😃 😃 gotta move there 🙂

Well then catholic girls aren’t that much different from ordinary girls then! Interesting! 😃

🙂 There are lots of things I find attractive in a man…intelligence, emotional intelligence too, someone who keeps fit and active, someone who treats everybody the same and treats tham well…

The deciding factor for me, when I met my now husband was that he let me just be myself, but also inspired me to be a better version of myself. We share the same values and aspirations and with him, I feel inspired to stick to our shared values and goals.

If we hadn’t met through a shared activity and got to know one another slowly, as aquaintances, then as friends first though, we might never have got together because we are both very shy individuals.

Women cannot be explained by the principles of engineering 😃 We are all different! We all have different dreams and hopes for the future and we’ve all been shaped by different life experiences.

One thing that is very unattractive (and possibly the reason your other thread is so popular) is an introspective man who feels somehow cheated by God and Man because he hasn’t found Miss Right. You’ve got a lovely way of expressing your views and come over as confident without being arrogant and holy without being santimonious.

When I was in my 20s, yes, I was open to meeting my future husband, but any man who I suspected of immediately assessing my suitability as a wife would have sent me running for the hills! The best way to meet someone is without any of that sort of pressure (and as you already know - definitely without the pressure of starting a sexual relationship) Look for someone you’d be happy embarking on an adventure with - because life is an adventure!

Interesting! Because I myself is kinda shocked that people liked the thread so much (the other one) I was just curious and asked the question. 😛 Thanks!! haha you flatter me too much 😛 😃

So true! For me its kinda the same! I’am not seeking only a physical relationship but more a life long friend i can totally depend upon! I just hope there is a girl out there who thinks the same! Patiens is a good weapon especially when God likes to play slow 😛 🙂

I am a young catholic swedish woman, and I can tell you that I’m looking for someone who is kind, non-judgemental, and a strong believer. I find it very important to be able to speak about faith and feelings. And of course having interesting discussions about other subjects.

And yeah, above all, seriousness. A man who is ready for a serious relationship, with marriage as a goal.

Genuine, sincere
Humorous, but not silly
Kind, gentle, but strong when need be
Financially stable, independent that way
Strong in his faith, not doubting

I’m a guy, so I don’t really know. Nevertheless, I hear a lot of talk about the ideal man having Boy Scout-like qualities; trustworthy, kind, cheerful, etc., but what I often see in real life is women, Catholic or not, being attracted to bad boys: dangerous, flirtatious, exciting, etc.

Honestly, I love that my husband takes care of me. He works his butt off so that I can homeschool our children. And I get sick quite a bit, and he takes care of me there too- bringing me water, praying for me, etc. You can really get to know a person when you’re down and need help.

You could try to move to Hawaii. You just have to make the leap of faith. You will never know unless you try right?

I think you will like it. You seem to have an open friendly personality which will fit right in. As for good Catholic girls you can surely find them there.

Sadly its kinda like that! Tested both approches and came to understan what women/girls liked in the bad boy. Most of it is that if your to kind then your personality kinda fades away. And the bad boy is rly himself. So thats what girls like about them not that they are bad, for the most part. But because they are themselves, for good or worse. 🙂

Now one can combine them to be kind, gentleman but yet have a distinct personality. Works the best! Trust me! 🙂 😃 😃

Girls want another human not a slave. That is at least my experience 😛

Thx for the feedback btw! 🙂

Well, it’s not that women desire a gob of money…but when children come, it’s nice to be married to someone who can work outside of the home so that if they quit THEIR job, things don’t fall apart! 3 really can’t live as cheaply as 2 when you factor in car seats, cribs, diapers, Pediatric visits & prescriptions for the sniffles and ear infections, and cloths they outgrow immediately. 😉 SHOES! Yikes, I almost for got SHOES!!! Good shoes for children’s growing feet! LOL

You got an awesome hubby i see!!! 😃 God bless you both!

Truth spoken! A friend in need is a friend indeed!

thx for the feedback btw! 😃
