I didn’t know that. I thought it was just the seven. I still find it hard to believe a reputable publisher would delete whole books from something as iconic as the Bible just to save money on paper and ink, but I guess anything’s possible. Maybe the publisher wasn’t reputable.
It was some international Bible publishing society. It makes sense though if you don’t believe they are scripture why keep them in there? The important thing you refer to is that Luther decided they weren’t sacred cripture and segregated them from the rest of the Bible. Perhaps the 15 books that are in my KJV were not included in every Protestant Bible. Maybe jus the Anglican versions, or because my Bible was a specail family Bible all 15 books were included? I need to do some research on it.

I had never thought of the Baptist churches as being particularly anti-Catholic until my fiance of three years suddenly dumped me. He gave as his reason a statement by his minister to him, that he and his church would do everything they could to talk him out of marrying me because I am a Catholic. Why the minister waited three years to tell him this, I do not know for sure…

But my erstwhile fiance also told me at that time that God had appeared to him in a dream and told him that he was to remain single for a long time… meanwhile, before he had even had the nerve to tell me it was over between us, he had already tried to ask out several of our co-workers – something I found out when they indignantly told me how they had blistered his ears in reply!

So, to be fair, I can’t tell exactly how much of it may have been genuine anti-Catholicism on the part of his church, and how much of it he may simply have seized upon as a convenient excuse to behave like a scumbag. Having known several people who hate the entire Catholic Church with a purple passion because one Catholic once acted reprehensibly toward them, I hesitate to lump all Baptists together under one blanket because one Southern Baptist made a jerk of himself.

I am, however, very happy to report that I am now engaged to a dear sweet cradle Catholic who was away from the Church for many years, but is now making a comeback to prayer and the sacraments through our relationship. God is good and He works in very mysterious ways!

(Not to mention that the three-year debacle has spurred me into donating a larger part of my income to organizations devoted to debunking the anti-Catholic mythology that is so pervasive in this culture!)
