After reading some responses on other threads, I wanted to ask this question.
I suppose that, for me, I want more than just “Sunday parishioners” but I know that is more the norm than not (and, frankly, it would probably be appalling to see how many parishioners are registered in our church vs. how many regularly attend). I want to attend a church with others whose intentions are similar to mine (to truly serve the Lord).
The social activities are not as interesting to me and are not a deal breaker. I don’t like cliques that sometimes grow in a church that tend to reflect a sense of entitlement.
I like a church that is friendly to everyone, especially new faces.
I like a pastor who offers “continuing education” such a bible studies and more in depth study of Catholicism.
I am looking forward to see others’ responses.
