Did you really think the Hezbollah would hand the kidnapped soldiers over? I, for one, never thought that likely. Israel made many claims but one they never pursued with any real vigor was that.
They never dropped the claim. Not really. As I remember it, that was a claim they dropped pretty early on.
I think the rain of kathusya rockets had a lot to do with the war.
there’s enough blood to go around. I’ve yet to see a country win a merit badge for its acitons/policy in the mideast. When provoked the IDF will win. Same with the USA. Unfortunately the ones with blood on their hands, the terrorists, seem determined to provoke us. I am betting with all their crowing about the dems electoral win that they will hit us again at home. All that will do is rain death and destruction on Muslims. The Muslims need to begin to reflect on where all this is headed.
Just today, again, the insane Iranian president is promising to destroy Israel.
Exactly, we must stop religion everwhere, only then will there b world peaceWe have at least tried to make some kind of peace. In 2000 Arafat was offered the deal of the century and turned it down. The Muslims do not want any peace that doesn’t include all the Jews dead.
That link is to an article that was published in the end of August, after the cease fire. And there’s a difference between post cease fire negotiations and stated goals during the war.I don’t know what you’re getting at, bud. This is not my recollections at all.
Israel has ruled out negotiations or a prisoner swap to secure the men’s release, but Goldwasser’s mother, Miki, said she would be open to talks and a prisoner exchange.

What are you doing, bud? You really want your pound of flesh, don’t you? That was my recollection that they never pursued the freedom of those kidnapped soldiers with vigor, bud. It’s a long time ago and you really want me to trawl through the news reports? That link is to an article that was published in the end of August, after the cease fire. And there’s a difference between post cease fire negotiations and stated goals during the war.
No no, it only works if it stops EVERYWHERE. Like end all religion, and youll have world peace. Reason it didnt work was cause ther was religion in the West. That has to go!Log, Stalin stopped religion, was there peace?
Let’s see the UN statistics. I got 30 more from the 180-odd funerals confirmed by the press reports I cited above. Every Hizbullah dead gets a public, celebratory funeral. The UN says Hezbollah lost 2.5 times more men than the IDF. Where did you get the 30 more men statistics from?
Israel is negotiating for them right now. It started negotiating within weeks. What was your point if you know that Israel is negotiating? Certainly not that Israel never wanted the prisoners back…so what is it?Israel would not negotiate for the release of the soldiers THEN. That was made clear in the news reports I provided.
I think we misunderstood each other. When I was arguing that Israel was pursuing their return, I mean through military conflict, in that they were continuing the war because the soldiers had not been released.I know the Israelis negotiate NOW for the release of those kidnapped soldiers. Why don’t you read my posts instead of barging in? The contention was whether the Israelis pressed for their return THEN with any VIGOR. If you don’t understand what I wrote then you only have to ask.
The point I made was that the Israelis did not pursue their return with any VIGOR at the time.
As for the UN sources - I will provide the estimate when you provide the evidence for your claim. Fair enough?
Huh? They invaded Lebanon. The first casualties of the war were right after the captures…they sent a tank into Lebanon to chase the Israeli soldiers, and the tank was destroyed.I know the Israelis negotiate NOW for the release of those kidnapped soldiers. Why don’t you read my posts instead of barging in? The contention was whether the Israelis pressed for their return THEN with any VIGOR. If you don’t understand what I wrote then you only have to ask.

It’s already there in the Asia times article. The reporters counted about 180 Hizbullah funerals. Read the article before you comment on what’s not in it.As for the UN sources - I will provide the estimate when you provide the evidence for your claim. Fair enough?
That number may be revised upward: our most recent information from Lebanon says the number of Shi’ite martyr funerals in the south can now be precisely tabulated at 184.
