What do we deserve

when we are… conceived? born? living in this world? dead?
 
Well people say we have rights but that is not true. We deserve nothin everything is a gift from God that is good. That only thing we now for sure in this life is that we will die
 
By “deserve” do you mean how is each person to be treated according to precepts of justice?

Or do you mean something like “what is owed to us”?
 
I often think about that line from the Eucharistic Prayer, “Do not consider what we truly deserve, but grant us Your forgiveness.”
 
A Priest of the Fathers of Mercy told me that God’s love is made manifest when He gives us what we do not deserve, while His mercy is made manifest when He does not give us what we do deserve.

If we deserve nothing we should all be treated in exactly the same way!

In other words most of us deserve to suffer according to the suffering we have caused…

👍 His justice is manifested by forgiving us to the exact extent that we forgive others… 🙂
 
Reminds me of a couple of lines in Lewis’ Till We Have Faces:

Orual: “Are the gods not just?”
The Fox: “Oh no, child. What would become of us if they were!”
