I don’t know about you, but I’m heading for the golf course with my angel caddie.
See you out there.
You wouln’t need an angel fred to carry you clubs; because they would just obey you and follow on to the next hole. (smile)

I think what some folks fear, is that Heaven will be boring. They are afraid that for whatever reason, they will be dissatified with what they will encounter.

Some probably reject God and Heaven simply because they can not see themselves forever praising God, and living in perfect harmony with everyone else.

How will folks spend all eternity without getting totally bored out of their minds ???

Imagine being able to see stars being born, being able to witness every event in human history or prehistory, being able to listen to every great musician without having to pay an arm and a leg for tickets. I bet the rock concerts in Heaven are just out of this world !!

People who think they will not like Heaven have no imagination. How would you like to learn from the greatest minds who ever lived, see the greatest sports figures playing at their prime, and maybe you may want to compete against them (not necessarily in the feeble body you have now).

yes, God will be there and we will have personal time with Him. But I have no doubt that Heaven will be anything but boring. I just want to see some real live dinosaurs, not a tyranosaur or raptor, but a few fat herbivores would do…

I was actually asked these questions by someone else: how do I imagine Heaven, for instance how do we look like, what age are we if we have a physical appearance, are we active or passive, do we have a partnership, do we “hang out” with others, do we learn things, do we compete, do we have emotions like anger, fear, depression, joy etc., can we lie, do we feel time, do we age or stay the same, and so on…

I couldn’t really answer most of them and only speculate. Does the Church say anything about this or is it more a mystery that no one can answer with certainty?
Mark Twain’s short story, Captain Stormfield’s Trip to Heaven should have been required reading for any Christian expecting a Sunday School diploma.

It is available on the internet for anyone who chooses to expand his childhood education.

How could Heaven be “boring” when we will be physically with our LORD and able to fill our minds directly from HIS???

I hope there’s beer.
There may be beer but I bet there’s no steak. Either we won’t eat at all or we have to become vegetarians.

I’m really going to miss steak. (That is of course assuming that I make it) 😃

The reason that some people think heaven will be boring is because the rest of us who are excited about it tag on what we would like it to be. Personally I find golf boring! 😛

All we really know about Heaven is it is eternal bliss. By definition you cannot be bored or unhappy. Bored or unhappy is not bliss. It’s very simple. God knows how humans work. He knows how to make them blissful.

Other than that, “Eye has not seen…” 😉

What do you figure on doing— connecting up a hose to God and filling up your empty tank for free? You seem to think of God as a mental gas station of some sort.

Here’s the deal with stations and gas tanks. A station may have 20,000 gallons of fuel in underground storage, Vehicles come with different size tanks. The guy who drives up with his 18-wheeler might easily come away with 150 gallons. He’s earned those big tanks. But when you drive up with your little mo-ped, its tank just big enough to hold an allotment of dogma and not much else, you might be lucky to come away with a few pints.

Maybe life on earth is about enlarging our tanks. c.f. Matthew 25:14…
