Just wondering…
There’s no “one” right way to pray during adoration.
Sometimes I praise and thank our Lord.
Sometimes I offer my contrition and seek His forgiveness.
Sometimes I’m just weak, or sad, or upset, and don’t pray much (mentally) but offer myself to Him and His mercy, asking Him to help me to more fully know His presence, His peace.
Sometimes I present my needs, and ask Him to help me.
Sometimes I pray for others.
I have contemplated Christ’s life – imagining myself being there with Him, wondering how I might react, how I fail and/or succeed now.
Sometimes I try to imagine what it must be like to be in heaven.
I have read scripture, or prescribed prayers.
Sometimes I sing (without using my voice).
So many ways to pray.
Cool story:thumbsup:I’ve been going to adoration frequently since November 16. Every time I’ve been there, I’ve prayed the Rosary, although I wish I had more Prayers to say directly to Jesus. Sometimes, I just sit there, in awe of his presence.
Once, I went over the words to a song that I was going to sing at the church I work at. I’m starting to learn how to listen to Jesus too. Yesterday, I had a brief conversation with him, which I can only describe as totally telepathic. I directed a question in my mind to Jesus in the Host, and I feel that my question may have immediately been answered. Last week, as I said in another thread, I prayed for healing from what was apparently a blatter infection, and my prayers were answered. Since then, Being in his presence has caused my faith to increase, even when I’m not in adoration, even though I still fall back sometimes.
