Real angels don’t have wings. I am skeptical about this one.

I looked on the Vatican web site. They don’t say anything about it. Therefore “The Church” has not said anything about it either–that is, about this particular allegation.

The Church has spoken about angels. You can read about angels in the Catechism. The Church has also spoken about certain approved apparitions, but only to say that there has been nothing in said apparitions which is found to contradict the Faith. One is free to believe, or not to believe. For unapproved apparitions (of which there are many), forum policy is that they are not to be discussed.

Sorry I didn’t know. Please delete. I just thought this was amazing.

Before our (Byzantine Catholic) church was remodeled a few years ago, I kept seeing what appeared to be a “ghostly image” of the Baby Jesus superimposed on top of an icon of the Theotokos.

It took me a while ('cause I’m kinda dumb 😃 ) but I finally figured out that there was a stained glass window displaying Christ in the manger, located “kitty cornered” from the icon. And at certain times of the day when the sun was shining, voila! Baby Jesus “magically” appeared on the opposite side of the church in His mother’s arms!

This looks like something similar to me. Note we can’t see what’s directly behind the photographer.

I don’t think it makes a difference if things like this can be explained or not.

What’s important is that we always leave ourselves open to the action of God in our lives.

Whatever caused the image in the photograph will probably never be discovered or explained, but if that photograph increases the faith of anyone who might see it, then whatever caused it has worked towards God’s plan of salvation.

So we should just praise God for these little miracles of everyday life and allow them to lead us closer to Him and to the greatest miracle we will ever see: the day when we will see Him face to Face.
