I think Heaven is like a huge house, lots of rooms, lots of comfortable chairs, lots of food, no mice in the pantry, no electricity bills, never a line to go to the bathroom, red wine spilt on the carpet automatically disappears, no draft ever, a TV that is big enough to view without someone being in the way, and a beautiful door chime for when someone new arrives.

What do you all think?

It is being complete in a way we’ve never ever dreamed of.

Kellie,

You sound like a mom that is horseshoed into the less than perfect house. 🙂 Your description would be heaven to any mom. I know it sounds great to me.

I think Heaven will be communities of angels and people, sharing God’s light and love, and basking in His glory. Time will not exist. There will be waves of joyous energy rippling through our hearts, which will be interconnected.

We’ll no longer have our egos and will be truely part of the Body of Christ in a totally unadulterated way, with our eyes unclouded by sin and fleshly desires, which will allow us the fullfillment of our true need for spiritual union with God.

Kellie, I’m so glad you brought up this topic! About a dozen years ago when the internet was mostly newsgroups, a Catholic group I belonged to brought up this topic. Some of the members posted the most delicious writings of various saints on this topic. Their visions of Heaven were very striking. Unfortunately, I don’t remember whose writings were posted.

I hope somebody who is familiar with this topic will post some classic passages from the writings of the saints.

As a personal comment, I like WhiteDove’s vision very much. Hope it’s really like that.

Be with those who I have loved in this life time.

Travel, and lots of it. See places and do things I have always wanted.

Meet up with some of my patron saints who can instruct me properly and more thorougly in the ways of prayer.

On the topic of heaven.
Anyone know if we’ll be able to see Jesus whenever and where ever we want, or is it something like making an appointment since He is such a busy man?
hahaha 🤓

There is another forum here entitled "Heaven’ you may want to check out.

On Dec. 15, 2003, there was a Catholic Answers program that talks about this same issue of Heaven.
I have the book “A Tour Guide to Heaven” and I recommend it.

Go with God!

When I was a kid, I imagined Heaven in the same way I suppose most kids did: puffy clouds, pearly gates, gold here and there, angels in long white robes – with wings, of course – basically the kind of thing we’ve seen in everything from chapel frescoes to B-movie Hollywood. But –

“When I became a man, I put aside childish things”. How I picture Heaven to be is irrelevant; I’m sure it’s far beyond anything my feeble human mind can dream up. I can’t wait to see my folks again (if indeed “see” is the right word): parents, grandparents – especially the grandparents who passed on when I was a mere infant.

Perhaps my favorite fictional depiction of Heaven is to be found in C S Lewis’ The Great Divorce. It it, he describes Heaven as a place that’s ***more real * ** than the world in which we now live: compared to Heaven, our world would seem little more than shadow.

As long as we can fly, I’m in.

My grandma says its a place without keys or locks, makes sense to me.

There’s only one thing that I really look forward to in heaven. To meet God face to face and forever praise him. On Earth, beauty always captures me and leaves wide-eyed. I can only imagine how I’ll act when I see beauty itself.

I’d rather not even speculate, but rather trust God that it will be more phenomenal than we can imagine. Whatever it’s like, we will NOT be dissappointed.

In the meantime, I’ll try to build his Kingdom here in my littles slice of the world by living Christ to everyone I touch (starting with my family).

For me, Heaven will be knowing I’ll never have to leave it. To see Jesus, body, blood, soul and divinity and to experience the full force of His love eternally. I sure would love to hug his precious body!

Continuous worship before the very throne of God. Reunion. No tears. No death. Joy. Love. Feasting.

I tend to think of the resurrected state rather than just Heaven. Since our eternal state will be physical and spiritual. After all seperation from our bodies is not a “natural” state. In that sense Heaven (as in before the resurrection) is a temporary existance where we are not fully ourselves.

oh man, i often think about this! i dunno what Heaven will be like, for the obviouse reason that i’ve never been there…

but i kinda feel like being at Mass is like a tiny piece of Heaven… like a teaser trailer for a really awesome movie (and the best part of this teaser trailer is that they don’t give away all the good parts)! wow, if Heaven is anything like Mass, i can’t wait! 🙂

God is awesome!

Oh, and I forgot to mention the Hockey games! There are going to be some great legends there by the time I arrive…

Hockey Rocks 👍

I deampt about Heaven when I was a child, it was very bright, I saw Saint Patrick our patron Saint, no shadows in Heaven like earth because the light is everywhere in every direction.Christina Gallagher describes Heaven, but she is still under investigation by the Church, so I won’t write the description here.
There was a lot of angelic singing and too many people to count, I have strange dreams like this sometimes, like I told people that Tony Blair would win the election in England.
Dreampt about earthquakes too, and it has come true, one about 2 months ago, and it started under the ocean floor and went like across Iceland towards Canada.
Three weeks ago I dreampt about Saint Padre Pio and another priest that I know was in it as well, don’t know why this priest was in it, except he has a devotion to Padre Pio, he’s a member of the Passionist order.
Anyway I went over to Padre Pio and he said to me, you have great faith, that was the end of that dream.
Anyway sorry I’m ratteling on a bit here but doesn’t it say in the Bible that “eye has not seen, nor ear heard Etc:” in regard to Heaven.
Ok it does say in the Bible pay no attention to dreams unless they come from God.
All this talking about dreams has made me   Goodnight !!!

Yes; and don’t forget the horses! Lots and lots of horses! Then we may be able to travel in the blink of an eye, but I think I’ll ride bareback through those peaceful green pastures beside the stills waters .
