Lev 23 !So what is this āevilā you refer to?
the problem is that you think the state of Israel as it is today is set up by God. it isnāt. it was set up by man, with the jewish leaders having no regard for the Messiah. that was the big criticism when it was taking place by the more orthodox (especially hasidic) jews. Christians should not support Israel (as it is today) anymore than any other state. therefore we should have just as much support for the palestinians whose homeland was ripped from them.Im glad we can agree on this!

what about those so called prophecy in the bible about the re-establishment of israel? isnt the israel state today the fulfillment of that?the problem is that you think the state of Israel as it is today is set up by God. it isnāt. it was set up by man, with the jewish leaders having no regard for the Messiah. that was the big criticism when it was taking place by the more orthodox (especially hasidic) jews. are you joking?? i like a lot of your posts and i know you are sarcastic from time to time (i get it too!what about those so called prophecy in the bible about the re-establishment of israel? isnt the israel state today the fulfillment of that?
I guess youāll never get it.are you joking?? i like a lot of your posts and i know you are sarcastic from time to time (i get it too!) so i donāt know if you are serious here since iāve said this like 10 times already.
but here it goes again:
no, it is not the fulfillment of that prophecy because the re-establishment of Israel will be done by the Messiah. He is to come and set up His throne forever. Israel has not been re-established by the Messiah, therefore it doesnāt fulfill prophecy.
and thatās where we disagree. i see the bible as saying that the Messiah comes back to establish Israel (the true Israel, fulfillment of prophecy). this has nothing to do with the state of Israel (not a fulfillment of prophecy). i can agree to disagree until Christians start spouting that we should support Israel because āGawd says soā. itās just not in the scriptures that way. we should support the Israel that is established by the Messiah, thatās where the test will come. i guess youāll never get that we cannot speed up Godās return by returning the Jews to Israel.I guess youāll never get it.
After all, youāre a Bengal fan living in Jacksonville, FL.
It is a fulfillment of prophecy. The Messiah will come back to the nation of Israel, in the land of Israel. A nation that will be in trouble with no way out except for the Messiah coming to save them. This fact is all over prophecy. Iāve said over and over that the nation as a whole now does not seek their God to be in his will, not their own. They are still worldy like every nation.
