What do you think about New Monasticism?

I honestly don’t know any monks who “eat 1 or 2 meals a day.” They do too much work for that! And few if any monastics, male or female, are “tonsured” these days.

@Shakuhachi, Orders such as the Benedictines have Oblates, and not Third Orders. Many Oblates are married, and not all are Catholic.

Sorry, I should clarify, those are more common for Eastern monastics. And by tonsure I mean the Eastern practice of snipping a few hairs
