It’s really a float? Here is another shot of the Float at Mass. I think Pope Benedict 16th needs to do a crack down when it comes to the Mass. Simply out of control. A circus atmoshere. Where is the solemness?
Im 21 and right there with you! This is outrageousThe antics of the liberals are giving me high blood pressure! AT SIXTEEN!
From what I have read this is the way all churches should look. At least to many.Other than the giant float, should the sanctuary be split up so?
I am 30 and I also feel the same…The antics of the liberals are giving me high blood pressure! AT SIXTEEN!
Catholic29:I am 30 and I also feel the same…
What Rome can or will ever do to insert some solmness back into the liturgy? And whats with that altar up on that odd circular platform in the middle of the church?
The Church architecture itself is very reverent, but the whle sanctuary appears to of been wrecked. It is apparent it was originally built to be a Catholic parish, but since Vatican II (probably) it has evolved (or devolved) into something rather outside the norm of what one would consider a typical Catholic parish to be.
It all seems very new-agey if you ask me…:whacky:
I totally agree with what Byz is saying here. Parading statues is a very old tradition, not some ‘liberal’ invention. It’s very common in Latin America still. It’s a special festive time for the Parish to honor a saint or our Lord. There is nothing ‘liberal’ about this at all.As palmas85 stated, this sort of thing is big in Europe. As this Church is named for St James I would be that this occured on his name day.
But then I am a Byzantine and I see nothing work with processions and carrying of Icons, or for you Latins Statues.
Also if this occured after the Dismissal then it occurred outside of the Mass.
Just love how people hunt the 'net for pictures like this and have no information as to what was happening or why.
I’m sorry, but I don’t think this should even be ALLOWED inside the church doors. It is still God’s house before, during, and after mass.As palmas85 stated, this sort of thing is big in Europe. As this Church is named for St James I would be that this occured on his name day.
