What do you think is the hardest thing for people to accept about Jesus?

I think my biggest struggle and doubt is the fact that Jesus hasnā€™t had much effect on his followers. Iā€™m repeatedly very disappointed both in myself and in other Christians, and I donā€™t see Christ making much difference in the lives of Christians compared to non-believers.

The Roman Church, or any truly Catholic Church for that matter, has no desire to contain Jesus. Many have died because they wouldnā€™t contain Him.

I think you are selling yourself and others too short not to mention Christ. He has made a difference in my life by the example of his just as I am sure he has in yours and countless others. It wasnā€™t Luther who inspired the chairty of Christians. Mohammed did not inspire Mother Teresa. YMCAā€™s and the Salvation Army, hospitals, and schools do not bear a Christian name for advertising purposes. Non-believers benefit from these institutions too.

Moses wrote the law and Christ lived it. Peter lived with Jesus and still faultered. Why should we rate any better though nothing stops us from trying? Soon to be Saint Teresa also did not see Jesus, she felt abandoned by him, but we can see from a distance that she was so close to him she lost sight of him but he did not in his purpose for her. Maybe you are closer to him than you think and so too miss the obvious, but if not maybe you shouldnā€™t look for the difference Jesus makes in the world, but make it more evident in yourself so you will impact others positively by it. Donā€™t let perfection or lack of it get in the way.

What, pray tell, is the roman catholic faith? Is that of any relation to the latin rite of the catholic churchā€¦ or is it a different subsidiary of the SEVEN rites which compose the catholic church? perhaps you should know what we are before you slander our beliefs about protestants.

For example, the church teaches that you protestants ARE catholic, though separated, and that you DO have both Christ and Christian truth insofar as youā€™ve managed to preserve those teachings that you took and kept from the catholic church. Benedict stated this clearly on his trip to brazil and it was front page news even in america. Please, try not to slander us catholics, it just makes protestants look bad.

That He is the Incarnation of God; God made flesh; fully God and fully man in one Person, who is the second Person in the Trinity, Who is One God - that was the hardest thing for me.

**My remarks:
  1. His teachings**? The best teachings if they can be found now.
  2. His miracles? The good things if understood properly, mostly symbolic.
  3. His resurrection? yes, if understood that he did not really die. He just got up.
  4. His followers? Every one has blamed the followers. I would do also if I found any of his followers. At present I do not see any followers in the churches. But there are Muslims who follow Jesus more than any one elseā€¦

His True Presence in the Eucharist. If everyone accepted and believed this, the world would be a very very different place indeed.

The fact that Jesus tells us to give up everything and follow Him. People still want control of their lives as much as possible.

This is heresy. Christian theology teaches that the wages of sin was DEATH, and that therefore the paschal sacrifice was required.

Christ, as the FINAL Paschal Sacrifice, had to die, TRULY die for sufficiency in paying the price of sin. Further, His death allowed Him to defeat it by rising from the deadā€¦ not simply ā€œgetting upā€ because He ā€œdid not really die.ā€

Christ died a true and complete death to pay the wages of sin on behalf of man, and then He rose again to defeat death and give us new life.

His teachings on being meek and humble, Iā€™m not always humble, :o and his desire for our obedience, itā€™s not always easy to be obedient. šŸ˜¦ I think the path to holiness contains both humility and obedience, it is a struggle for most of us to live and be this way. God Bless.

No other Church can trace their origins so far back, with the Orthodox Church being with the Catholic Church up to around 1000 years ago

As a Catholic the hardest thing for me is to understand that ā€˜Jesusā€™ is ā€˜Godā€™ and the relationship is that simple.
