I am slightly in question in the concept of how the rapture is in the minds of some Christians.

If anxiety is severe enough to interfere with daily life, then see a mental health professional as you may have a medical or psychological condition requiring treatment.

If the anxiety is not so severe as to constitute a medical or psychological condition, then one needs to develop more trust in God/ Jesus Christ etc. and I would recommend praying more.

“Jesus, I trust in You”.

Or as Padre Pio said, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry.”

From a Catholic (Biblical) perspective, the entire concept of the Rapture is nonsense. It was made up in the late 1800’s, and no one should give it a second thought, because it’s not going to happen.

What we should be caring about is our individual judgment at the time of our death because whether it happens at the actual end of the world, or just at the end of your life, it doesn’t matter.

Man-made hogwash. The Church, and scripture, are crystal clear.

Men have itching ears and listen to false doctrine.

I did some research and there was an article I found which explained that the idea of rapture was similar of being resurrected then just being taken up to heaven alive.

Similar yes, I can see where that could be the basis, but the rest of the concept, thousands years of evil, third coming of Jesus at the actual end of time, etc. etc., is all nonsense.

Hmm, I do have some concerns if people are just going to read scripture and say “this means this” without understanding the historical context of it.

Considering the rapture is a heretical idea dreamed up by 18th century American Protestant fundamentalists, I don’t think very much of it. The rapture is in no way, shape, or form a legitimate doctrine regarding the eschaton. At least not in the way it’s commonly presented by Protestant fundies.

the closest thing to the rapture, I had concluded was that it will be when man rested in the LORD, though it’s more of a simularity
