I think any organized religion is set in their ways.Dear Brethren in Christ,
Do you think that Catholics are unnecessarly obstinate? Too set in our ways
God Bless you,
Patrick
Indeed. I want to exhort Catholics, not condemn. While I don’t think House meant this as critical of Catholicism, I heartily agree that its a two way street. Broad brush here, but we Lutherans, at least in America, are lazy when it comes to catechesis, and often easily distracted by the fads of the day.

The LCMS is pretty obstinate, but the WELS has honed it to an art form.We try, brother, we try.

What would you suggest DISORGANIZED religion? How would that work?I think any organized religion is set in their ways.

it seems all come out of the same cookle cutter. What would you suggest DISORGANIZED religion? How would that work?
to many laws and regulations.Non-denominationalism
I was Non-Denom for years. It’s a great micro-cosmos but still the lead pastor is the sole authority and the same pattern is seen in most of the different non-denoms - where the family members and the extended family and friends get the paid positions in the Church and it becomes the family business. Then the Church grows and even in the weekly bible study sessions an offering is passed, and then Malachi becomes the favorite book of the bible for the lead pastor to preach from.to many laws and regulations.
the law is written in the heart., not in written laws.
No, I am faithful to the the Catholic church. If you want to consider my faith in the Catholic church obstinate…then so be it.Dear Brethren in Christ,
Do you think that Catholics are unnecessarly obstinate? Too set in our ways

Good point. It would need to be non-congregational as well as non-denominational.Originally Posted by Isaiah45_9
