Dear Brethren in Christ,

Do you think that Catholics are unnecessarly obstinate? Too set in our ways:)

God Bless you,
Patrick
I think any organized religion is set in their ways.
in fact I know they are all brain washed.

While I don’t think House meant this as critical of Catholicism, I heartily agree that its a two way street. Broad brush here, but we Lutherans, at least in America, are lazy when it comes to catechesis, and often easily distracted by the fads of the day.

Indeed. I want to exhort Catholics, not condemn.

It’s too true, not just fads of the day, but fads of 150 years ago, ie pietism, for better or worse.

to many laws and regulations.
the law is written in the heart., not in written laws.
I was Non-Denom for years. It’s a great micro-cosmos but still the lead pastor is the sole authority and the same pattern is seen in most of the different non-denoms - where the family members and the extended family and friends get the paid positions in the Church and it becomes the family business. Then the Church grows and even in the weekly bible study sessions an offering is passed, and then Malachi becomes the favorite book of the bible for the lead pastor to preach from.

The opinions are all different and varied:

Infant baptism or not.
Female pastors or not.
Pro Life or not.
Gay marriage or not.

The list goes on, PR has it down.

The Church should be one, not many. The truth is one not many.

After all:

[bibledrb]1 Corinthians 14:33[/bibledrb]

[bibledrb]Ephesians 4:1-6[/bibledrb]

The Church guides us, not leads us in all different paths with different truths.

Too many rules… Are the rules written in our hearts the same for us all? Or are they different?

Moral Relativism and Anarchistic Christianity… Makes me sick, really…
