A finite life to not enjoy all our god has in-store!? I pity Atheists for rejecting the most loving father of all time.

Anyways on to your question.
We will never run out of things to study or do because only God is infinite and all knowing.
And after a thousand years? I will be no more excited with everything to do then the first time I took steps on the new earth.

I plan to:
Travel the cosmo’s seeing all the different planets our lord god created. (If you want to join in just look for me on the new earth. Im sure it will be easy)
Building my dream house.
Making new dishes from the 12 different fruits the tree of life will be growing each month.
Write and perform the most beautiful Ocarina compostion I can think of.
Enjoy all my brothers and sisters (You if you are a true believer)

Now this next one is just conjecture but I am hoping god allows us to enter worlds (Like Westeros and video game worlds and let us play the role of characters.)
If the above is true I plan to do alot of “Gaming time”

Now all of the above is my view if you dis-agree I respect that but please I do not need to hear “Gamers truly dont know god” that is a lie and you certainly are assuming to know alot.

Have Faith.

I dont understand why people ask such trivial questions. Look we will all be praising and worshipping our God. Thats an eternity of utter joy!

Well, it is difficult for me to imaginate how the heaven will be.

The only think i cannot understand is. How can you be so happy in the heaven if someone you love is in the hell??
I think the same thing!!

It’s statements like that that make people like me want to say no, thanks, I’d rather stay here forever. When you say it so blanket like, all one can imagine is sitting on your knees praying for eternity. No. That’s not what God has in store for us. When you make the statement so dry, you’re eradicating the fact that there are going to be many joys in heaven for our delight, and our delight in them gives praise to God

Heaven seems so glorious to me, even though we, here on earth, don’t know a lot about what we will experience. The primary fact that sheds so much light on the matter is that we will attain the ‘beatific vision’ which is the intuitive vision of God. So that means there won’t be any incomprehension or grasping after some illusive truth but instead a vision of untold clarity into infinity(God), since God is infinite and everything is contained in him.

Also questions such as ‘how can we be happy knowing someone we love is in hell’ I know these are painful questions to ponder for us here on earth but firstly we don’t know here on earth who is going to be in heaven, hell or purgatory since all is up to Gods justice and mercy but if we remember that we will intuit God, all our questions or quarms about why this or that person is in this or that place will be instantly reconciled without any need for further explanation, we will see the justness of all Gods decisions in the afterlife and every decision he made whilst all of us were here on Earth. Not only that, every time we were ever hurt by someone on earth we will understand why they did it and therefore we will realise that it might have been out of their own hurt etc… so therefore there will be no more need for anger or grudges we will all instantly have the ability to forgive everything or almost everything(since somethings are just too henious maybe) but still our hurt will be gone and people alternately will understand all our motives and temptations when we’ve hurt them so we will also find forgiveness in Heaven off God and others; since God knows us all better than we know ourselves anyway. Don’t forget Paul said that we will know God so we might better be known to our selves. So we haven’t even explored fully our ownselves yet. 🙂

Also regarding the OPs question about will we get bored. The answer is already aptly answered by some but I will just give my :twocents: anyway. Eternity is not the infinite sucession of finite time, since that is a contradicition in terms. Time won’t really exist, things won’t feel like they drag or are too quick. When we see God there will be no end to the amount we can explore and learn, so drabness won’t exist. And when we look at the lives of Our Mother or the Saints (or even each others) there will be no fatigue or boredom in regards to any of this. Just a constant feeling of newness as if we had just arrived. St. Maria Faustina said in respect to the trinity, (if my memory doesn’t fail me… which it will.) That even after a million years(?) in heaven we won’t have even touched the edges of the mystery of the Trinity. < that was a paraphrase by the way. It seems too good to be true, but as we hold to our Faith and Hope, we know it is. (For me personally the one thing I like thinking of, is walking around beautiful places with Christ just talking, since I don’t think we will ever tire of that. Unless of course I bore him.) 😛

The phrase “rest in peace” is often directed at dead people. Sounds very boring.

Palamistic theology holds that we’ll always be discovering and learning more and more new things about God. Human innovation and progress will never end!

Let me see now: There’s ‘bugging’ every body with questians about everything, taking severel ‘grand tours’ of the unavirse, hunt, fish, bird watching. That’s just off the top of my head. bowdown2::getholy::gopray2::heaven:

That’s a question I often listen, by some non-christians

“What do you want to do on heaven? You’ll probably get bored on the first thousand years… I’d rather have a limited life, with sense on exploring, with knowledge, than having a nosense eternal boring life”.
They obviously are ignorant of the next life.

There is no choice in the matter as far as the immortal soul. By virtue of OUR conception, we (i.e. everybody) will live forever. The question those folks need to come to grips with is… WHERE will that be? If it’s not heaven for them, boredom is the least of their worries.

Our soul possesses memory intellect and will. This is what animates us in this life, and it carries on into eternity. I’m sure God figured out eternity for us just fine. I want to spend it with Him. 🙂
