Pax et Bonum! there are a lot of comments about the “why’s” when it came to voting for HC and the Democratic Party, that so many Catholics went with a party that supports abortion, etc. Many Catholics are disappointed about this, and came to the conclusion the voters didn’t see they had much choice - for example - they could vote for someone who “may” lead them into more war, or they could vote for someone who supports these immoral issues against Church teaching, but at that can still remain outside of it - for example, they vote for it - but do not participate directly in it. The remaining disagreement, is that voting IS participating. Others probably would have said, “there are no candidates; therefore I wont be voting.” - and didn’t.
I agree, that the Church doesn’t change and that the people are to conform or CONVERT to the Church. If the Church changes over and over and compromises over and over to accommodate everything and everyone going on, the Church will be snuffed out - not completely though because Jesus said, “the gates of hell will not prevail.” There are many things happening in the world too, that are more of a trend and if the Church changes to accommodate trends, again there will be loss. As for being informed - it might also mean making the right decisions for the salvation of your soul. Are we being called to the carpet by God? Being tested as gold in fire

? All of this is in scripture. angeltime
