What does the Bible say about the NWO?

We are all called to be ready at all times to enter heaven so, in my humble opinion, it shouldn’t really matter whether we are in “the end times” or not. Our own personal time on earth could be up at any moment. We don’t know when our time will be up and we don’t know when “the world’s” time is up. I think anyone who believes they know is being rather prideful - the Bible clearly states (as mentioned above) that NO ONE will know the day or the hour. It’s simple (although not easy to live up to!) - BE READY. Live every day striving to be as close to an image of Christ as you can. Satan’s favorite lie to all of us is “you have time - live for yourself now and worry about heaven later”. Have great Faith, be kind to everyone you meet, pray always, be of service to your neighbor in need, and treat each day as a gift.

Your pictures only prove my concern - evil can be worked into anything, even supposedly Christian works. I could draw a holy person (pick, I won’t mention specifically, it sounds sinful) but surround them with all sorts of symbolism to promote an unholy message. I think you all are confused, I’m not talking about A nwo, I’m talkIng about THE nwo. Just watch a movie or the news, the symbols are everywhere. Something’s up, as another user mentioned that looks like the eye of Horus, and guess who worships him? Not the kind of people you want around

Ancient Egyptians worshipped Horus; I don’t know what’s especially the matter with them that is worse than anyone else.

But it doesn’t matter, because in the art depicted, it’s meant to represent Christ; not Horus.

Images have no power except what the viewer gives them. Nothing “magical” can happen - the worst that can happen is that people might get upset over this or that.

There is no such thing as “the new world order” - this is a fantasy of people who have serious mental illnesses, and does not exist in real life.

“But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.” (Psalm 33:18)
Agreed. But that really does not have anything to do with an image which predates Christianity and which originates with the god horus. I came into the Church last Easter but lately all the pagan images I see within the Church have me wondering if I made the right choice.

“And you took up the tent of Moloch, and the star of the god Rephan.” - Acts 7:43
That would be the hexagram or the Star of David. Maybe just an image but not to God.

Apparently I cannot post pictures here as a new member but here is a photo of a man bowing in prayer before the “all seeing eye” and to me, it just doesn’t sit right. This image does not belong in the Church in my opinion. lexphoto.co.uk/albums/vietnam/slides/the%20all%20seeing%20eye.html

This is something that should have been dealt with during your RCIA process. Did you not see these images in the Church when you were undergoing your RCIA process? (Were you rushed into full communion for some reason, without having any chance to discern?)

It concerns me that you could have gone through 12-18 months of RCIA without ever noticing these things before, or asking about them and finding an acceptable answer.

Nothing was rushed. I attend a very traditional Church which I love. The triangle came up and it was explained as representing the Trinity. I can accept that. Mostly though, we went through the CCC, Adult Catechism and of course Scripture. Images other than the ones we venerate never came up. They haven’t been an issue with me until just recently. It is something I need to work out like some people have to work out the Blessed Mother as Mediatrix. I am seeking “acceptable” explanations which I may not get from this forum.
I would like to know when the Church started using the symbol of the eye and why. Perhaps symbols in themselves don’t matter but rather how they are used. That seems to be the way most feel about them. I know the Egyptians worshiped the eye and I know we Catholics do not, it is only seen as a symbol of God’s providence. But at this point in my life, if I attended a Church and there was an all seeing eye above the alter, I would be very uncomfortable.

Well, I know that the Bible does say “You will not know the time nor the day…I will come like a thief in the night” With this being said…NO ONE but Christ himself knows when the end of times is. Protestants, thank God I’m not part of that cult any longer, LOVE to study the Apocalypse, and have entire Biblical “Boot camp’s” revolving around all the terrible things happening that are pointing to that time. those occurrences such as war will ALWAYS occur, and have since before and after Christ came. Just let God worry about those things, or you’ll drive yourself insane and over scrupulous…How can anyone enjoy life if they think that today is THE day?
Christ does not know the day of his coming-only His Father knows. This deals with the culture of the Jews. After the betrothal the groom goes to prepare a place for his bride. The father of the groom, in this case Father God, must give his approval. Jesus doesn’t know the day his father will approve that place. Remember Jesus said I will goto prepare a pllace for you, Also the Protestants, Anabaptists and Messianic Jews are not cults. Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons are cults.

George H Bush mentioned New World Order 216 times. The only president not involved and against this was John Kennedy. That is why he was killed. There will be one government and one banking system. It will be a failed attempt but highly destructive. Jesus ends the old order.

Peter talks about scoffers in the end times.

I would like to know when the Church started using the symbol of the eye and why.
“The Church” doesn’t. One particular artist did - and the reason why lies with himself. If the pastor of the parish where the image resides was okay with it (assuming the image resides at a parish, and not in a museum or a private collection), then it probably has nothing at all to do with anything pagan.

If the image doesn’t reside at your parish, then you have nothing at all to be concerned about. 🙂

Wow. ‘doesn’t exist?’ at the very least it’s just something created by man, but you could possibly say that about religion too. I believe in the Bible, but I’m not naive enough to think the church - yes RC too - is infallible and all holy, or that the government can be trusted.

I’m just saying we need to be careful, look at all the subliminal messages, I can’t turn an eye on observable evidance - this is why I came back to the church, because I found evidance of Gods existence.

I don’t trust the government, either, but that’s because I think it’s just barely competent. I think it would take a much higher degree of competency than we see in the day to day running of our world affairs, for there to be this top-secret New World Order that everyone except the average person is in on. Most politicians drink to excess, and yet not a one of them has ever let anything slip about this. (Everything else, but not this.) 🤷

:D:D:D:D jmcrae: I never thought about it like that but you do certainly bring up a good point about the politicians. Loose lips and all.

Jesus talks about false prophets coming after him and fooling all the nations into believing he’s the real Christ when he’s in fact the anti-Christ. The anti Christ will rule for a period of time but will eventually lose to the real Christ Jesus. This nwo conspiracy may be crazy to some but for me and others it’s real and scary. Those triangles will all seeing eye are everywhere and is one of the Symbols used by the bloody Freemasons. I would go in depth about this topic but I don’t really know how to process my thinking in words.

If you don’t think there is a New World Order you’re living in a state of denial. Who says there will be a one world order and financial system where you have to take the mark of the beast? Open you bible and start making stupid statement that those who believe the bible are mentally ill.

I would approach this from a different angle.

Ancient Israelite religion, aside from a few distinctive characteristics, was not really different from that of other West Semitic religions in general. In Exodus for instance, God commands Moses to construct altars for the Tabernacle: the golden altar of incense and the brazen altar of sacrifice. Curiously, these altars have horns in them. The dig is, horned altars are not unique to the Israelites. In many archeological digs in the Holy Land, a number horned altars have been found, many of them unrelated to Israel.

http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/1504/ekronironiihornedaltars.jpg
Horned altars from Iron Age-II (10th-6th centuries BC) Ekron, modern-day Tel Miqne.

An altar at Beersheba, probably connected to a temple or cult center in the city. When Tel Be’er-Sheva was first excavated, archeologists discovered sandstone blocks in the walls of storehouses - most of the blocks used in the ancient city was made of limestone. They eventually took these blocks and reconstructed the altar, as shown here. It is thought that the altar was dismantled during the reforms of King Hezekiah in circa 8th century BC.

Plus, sacrifice of animals and incense ain’t really a unique custom to the sons of Israel. Also, we have the Ark of the Covenant, functioning both as the receptacle of the Law and God’s portable throne-chair: well, we do have gods and Pharaohs in Ancient Egypt who are carried around in box-like litters or shrines too. Some find a parallel between the cherubim on the kapporet - loosely paraphrased as ‘mercy-seat’ - and the winged humans/human-animal hybrids/animals usually seen flanking or overshadowing the thrones of kings and gods in the Ancient Near East and Ancient Egypt as well (sometimes they are seen riding on them as well).

The Temple of Solomon sports many features which are also present in other Ancient Near Eastern temples, in part due to the Tyrian workers and craftsmen who helped built it: say, that ‘cherubim-palm tree-flower’ motif that decorated the interior walls, or the idea of having two big pillars in front of the entrance themselves. In layout, appearance and iconography, it would not have looked that much different from any other temple you can see in other areas. The Temple has for example the private, innermost sanctuary usually dubbed in scholarly parlance the adyton (Hebrew: debir) usually containing the cult image of the deity being worshipped inside the edifice (in the case of the Israelites, the one contained inside the the ‘Holy of Holies’ is the box which also served as the throne of their unseen God), a rectangular room called the cella (Hebrew: heikal), and a pronaos (aka ulam) or an outer hallway. A courtyard surrounding the god’s house, marked with stones, is also one common feature.

All of the elements I have mentioned also exist among other, ‘pagan’ ANE cultures, but they are not in itself ‘evil’ or ‘satanic’ just because they were used by these peoples. The lesson is: ‘pagan’ usually does not automatically equal ‘evil’. Ultimately I don’t care whether the symbol of the eye or the image of a mother and child or cross-like geometric shapes were used in other pre-Christian cultures. I think G.K. Chesterton summed it best.

It is often said by the critics of Christian origins that certain ritual feasts, processions or dances are really of pagan origin. They might as well say that our legs are of pagan origin. Nobody ever disputed that humanity was human before it was Christian; and no Church manufactured the legs with which men walked or danced, either in a pilgrimage or a ballet. What can really be maintained, so as to carry not a little conviction, is this: that where such a Church has existed it has preserved not only the processions but the dances; not only the cathedral but the carnival. One of the chief claims of Christian civilisation is to have preserved things of pagan origin. In short, in the old religious countries men continue to dance; while in the new scientific cities they are often content to drudge.

But when this saner view of history is realised, there does remain something more mystical and difficult to define. Even heathen things are Christian when they have been preserved by Christianity. Chivalry is something recognisably different even from the virtus of Virgil. Charity is something exceedingly different from the plain pity of Homer. Even our patriotism is something more subtle than the undivided love of the city; and the change is felt in the most permanent things, such as the love of landscape or the love of woman. To define the differentiation in all these things will always be hopelessly difficult. But I would here suggest one element in the change which is perhaps too much neglected; which at any rate ought not to be neglected; the nature of a vow. I might express it by saying that pagan antiquity was the age of status; that Christian mediaevalism was the age of vows; and that sceptical modernity has been the age of contracts; or rather has tried to be, and has failed.

First, there have been 2,000 years between then and now. There’s nothing special about now, that’s different from 2,000 years ago. There have been “anti-Christs” (heretics) in every generation, trying to lead the faithful away from the Church - the Catholic Church still stands. “The gates of Hell cannot prevail.” 🙂

The Bible doesn’t say anything of the sort. You need to read it for yourself, instead of letting these false interpreters read it for you. I agree that you should believe what the Bible says. There is nothing in the Bible about banks or financial institutions making you take the sign of the beast.

Thanks for that, it’s ok though, I forgive you, because you don’t see a threat. But I do, and so do others l. The Bible talks about everyone on earth - save those whose names are written in the book since the foundation of life - will worship the devil. This fits the theory of a unified government, which is not so crazy. Look at hitler, he wanted everything unified too. The world domination thing IS old as you said, the difference is this is bigger than just Germany’s nazis

The word of the Lord;
Revelation 13:17 (KJV)
17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Matthew 7:15 (KJV)
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

I don’t think anyone smart enough to take over the world would present themselves as intelligent - they would want to sneak up on people and appear non threatening.

That’s true - they will worship the Devil because they will be in Hell. Those “not written in the book” (ie: have never received their Sacraments) are the non-Catholics - and they are all going to Hell, of course - except for those who honestly had no idea they were supposed to be Catholic, and never committed any other serious sin in this life that would have required the absolution of a priest.

No-brainer. 🙂

They might worship the devil in hell - that’s a strong possibility - but they might also be forced to worship the devil on earth. The Antichrist might be a person, or a religion of apostasy. For people who believe in the later, the reality of a global religion is scary - but it IS happening, or rather, has already happened. Look up the URI, I think it’s united religious initiative or something. The pope went too - this was in the 90s from what I gather so it’s been going on a while - to this meeting. Go to the site and you’ll find one of the people in the about us section is Dom Frew, a “high priest” who is a spokesperson or whatever for the “covenent of the goddess”. This is capitalized on their website - unsettling to say the least. Remember what the bible says? You know, about not seeking them out? I’ve already repented for those most disgusting sins, I won’t pretend to be ok with the pope supporting this. Remember, a lot of people will believe the system is the lord, which of course it isn’t, the fact that this is headed by so many Christians is disturbing.

Why? Christianity was established by Jesus Christ as a world religion - not for one race or one nation only, but for the whole world - hence, why it is called “the Catholic Church” (Catholic = universal).

Any Christian who fears “one world religion” has failed to grasp the most essential element of the Gospel message - that it is for “all nations.” Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

I am also not okay with “goddess” religions, but it has nothing to do with how popular or unpopular they may be - it is simply that they are false religions that pull people away from the truth.
