Thanks! šŸ™‚

I’ve seen these and love them! (I have a plain fish on my car).

I don’t know if it’s considered funny, but I have a bumper sticker on my car that says: ā€œMy boss is a Jewish carpenter.ā€ (It’s a classic!) I do get some strange looks sometimes… šŸ˜›
šŸ™‚ I use ā€œmy boss is a Jewish carpenterā€ as part of my signature on another forum.

We have a Jesus Action Figure, with poseable arms and gliding action. It’s still in the original box.

(We have a small collection of action figures; my favorite is my Terminator 2 Action Figure autographed in 2 places by Robert Patrick, the actor who played T2. )

We also have a Nunzilla–when you wind it up, it shoots sparks out of its mouth. I’ve seen this in priests’ offices, so I don’t feel guilty.

My husband has a button that says, ā€œI met Keith Green at a Jesus concert.ā€ (Keith Green–God rest his soul.)

We have a funny book called 101 Things To Do During A Dull Sermon by Tim Sims and Dan Pegoda. It’s hilarious and a lot of the ideas actually work, especially the alphabet game. Of course, the book was more useful when we were Protestant because the sermons usually lasted 45 minutes or more.

We bought one of our younger priests a T-shirt for jogging as a Christmas present that said, ā€œI found Jesus. He was behind the sofa all the time.ā€

Welllll I don’t think I could deal with a Jesus Bobble-Head, but I definately like the Bumpersticker.

I did think about the different sense of humor thing, but If someone finds such things objectionable, they don’t need to click on the thread. The title should be pretty clear.

Besides, I don’t think that there area lot of Catholics with this one of these on their car. Maybe some don’t look at it as humorous, but I’ve always thought it was quite inventive and cute.

Peace
James
:rotfl: lol. That one really struck me because I just saw that Darwin fish for the first time on some other site and it made me really mad. So funny.

Darw–TRUTH. Haha.

Our priest has ā€œI didn’t call them the Ten Suggestions -Godā€ in the sacristy.

My friend’s grandmother gave me a coffee mug for christmas with a nun riding a motorcycle on it and it said ā€œNun for the roadā€ 😃

The Bad Catholics Guide to Good Living (www.badcatholics.com) is an extremely funny book and has some interesting recipes. If you haven’t read it, it is definitely worth the money (it’s historical and humorous at the same time). Now, after going to their website I see that they have a new book, The Bad Catholic’s Guide to Wine, Whiskey, and Song. I’ll definitely have to buy it or ask for it at Christmastime.

Got 'em both! šŸ‘ šŸ‘

Speaking of Books, I saw this one at the local catholic store the other day and had to chuckle. It’s a book about homeschooling called:

PLEASE DON’T DRINK THE HOLY WATER

On the back is a great line:
ā€œIf heaven is a baquet will I have to do the dishes?ā€
😃 😃

I alway thought the there were a few funny things in the bible but I have nothing religiouswise that I would consider funny.

Irony is sometime funny. Like when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead and the crowd was worried about the smell
. They were all so clueless.

Or when Moses asked God if he could find someone else to free his people.

When Jonah was eaten by the whale because he ran off.

at least I find them humorous. 🤷

You’re sure right. There are some things in the bible that can tickle the funny bone.
Mother Angelica is a good one for that. I’ve heard her describing, (and expanding) on scenes from the bible and she and the audience are just laughing and having a great time.

Peace
James

A t-shirt with a pic of our pope that says ā€œI love my German Shephardā€

A t-shirt stating ā€œEpiscopalians,
Exactly like Catholics
only not so Maryā€

It isn’t really a thing but a fun explanation of thunder from when I was a kid.

Thunder is Angels bowling. Why they had to have their Tournament Championships over our house I’ll never know (really loud thunder). They got a lot of strikes.

I had a T-shirt for years that said:

Mary had a little Lamb,
who died for the whole flock.

Loved it!

I remember that, though not the line about the tournament over the house.
Also, Lightening was the angels playing with the light switches.šŸ™‚ šŸ˜› 😃 šŸ˜‰

That’s great -
Is it something you’ve seen, owned, or just something you’d like to see.
