He can’t. It doesn’t matter if he reads the book of Revelation, he already chose to seal his fate.

Odd choice of phrase. Satan is an intelligent being. Satan certainly knows the Scriptures as he used them when tempting Christ.

No body implies no motion, therefore no need for lift, correct?

So if the wings are figurative, does their number even matter?

If the devil repents, then hell freezes over and the Eagles will re-unite for a concert.

Oh wait, that already happened.

Seriously, the question has been very well answered.

Isaiah 6:2

“Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.”

The wings are not figurative.

Hell freezes over every year.

(Hell, Michigan)

Around here it is ALWAYS hotter than Hell.

This article from CAF explains the matter of angels and free will.

Here’s my understanding:
With full knowledge of the implications, angels made an irrecoverable choice to serve or rebel against God. Fallen angels chose evil. Thus, repentance is impossible.

The devil can’t. But would he if he could? Knowing the battle in the end is lost, I wonder if he ever regrets it

Satan can’t repent because the Book of Revelation would no longer have prophecy
Good it would save humanity a lot of hardships then. The prophesy is if he does not repent not that he can’t.
Plus many in the early Church questioned the book of Revelation.

If Satan repented would salvation history be different?
What if he reads the Book of Revelation and now knows and comes up with a different means?
For the sake of the argument, yes. LOL
Salvation history would obviously be different.
But it’s purely hypothetical because even if satan’s reading about the apocalypse influenced his (otherwise stubborn) thinking, God Himself would ALSO know what satan had in mind after reading about his no-win scenario.

I heard an exorcist FSSP priest say that when demons speak on this subject, they confirm the incomprehensible torments of hell which they find no rest from, while also saying they would repeat their decision to fall with lucifer if given the opportunity to go back.

To me, this says two things. First, that ignorance plays no role in an angels decision-making ability. Highly superior in intellect to man and existing in an “unveiled” reality, they see the consequence of a choice all the way through. Secondly, its shows how deep demonic hatred is towards man. Hell is the worst experience possible, yet they would choose it every time over obeying God. The only thing more unfathomable than fallen angelic hatred for man is Gods love for man, to put it in perspective.

And as the priest stated, God is merciful to the ignorant and to the stupid. Man is both, angels are neither.
