What you are speaking of I would say is not radical traditionalism. Radical traditionalists would be those who believe the pope is not the actual pope or that the new mass is not valid.

May I ask where you heard that Jean Guitton started the possible rumor that the new mass was done for ecumenical reasons? Why were there six Protestants who were consulted in the revision of the mass then?

I haven’t only heard it from traditionalists, but also those who are not traditionalists, say this. So I had no reason to believe otherwise.

It looks to be – the passage below – is speaking of those who disparage the OF and/or its disciplines (which have the authority of the Church)

PONTIFICAL COMMISSION ECCLESIA DEI

INSTRUCTION

ON THE APPLICATION OF THE APOSTOLIC LETTER

SUMMORUM PONTIFICUM

OF HIS HOLINESS BENEDICT XVI

GIVEN MOTU PROPRIO

The faithful who ask for the celebration of the forma extraordinaria must not in any way support or belong to groups which show themselves to be against the validity or legitimacy of the Holy Mass or the Sacraments celebrated in the forma ordinaria or against the Roman Pontiff as Supreme Pastor of the Universal Church.
Very interesting comment! Before SP, the validity and legitimacy of the OF Holy Mass was often questioned/denigrated by some that much preferred the EF Mass. After the release of SP, their chant turned to the supposidly “organic” development of the EF Mass, which made it superior to the OF Mass. Total claptrap either way.

That’s your opinion. It only applies to faithful who support groups. If you knew the history, you’d understand the context in which it was written. And this historical context is dominated with reactions to the SSPX. Please learn the historical context before you make conclusive assertions.
