What is Moral truth and why are we bound by it? Why does God have the right to judge?

I disagree with you. I have already shown in my last post that might does not make right with God: as I said, our Lord God simply has rights over us as a good Lord, Creator and King deserves: and He IS deserving of all our love, obedience and submission, for we are His, not our own. Do not good, faithful and obedient children submit to their fathers and to their fathers’ decisions? Do not faithful, obedient loyal citizens submit to their rulers and to their rulers’ decrees? Our Lord God is our Father and our Ruler–let us obey Him as His faithful, loving children and as obedient, loyal subjects should. I mean no disrespect to any person, but I detest the Modernism that is rampant on these forums, I can’t believe that I have to argue such an obvious truth: that it is our duty to honor the Kingship of our Lord Jesus Christ and His absolute rule and complete rights over us as our loving King, Lord, Father and Creator. You seem to be forgetting that we are His and not our own! God bless you.
If you are saying that simply being more powerful then someone means that a person is morally obliged to follow whatever set of rules given by the powerful, then I cannot agree and it is obvious to me that you have a distorted attitude about God. To me that is a nihilistic kind God because his preferences rule not because they are true but because he has the power to enforce them.

That is not why I will be obedient to God.

I am NOT saying that **merely being more powerful than someone **means that a person is morally obliged to follow whatever set of rules given by the powerful. I AM saying that God has such rights over us as our good God, Father and Creator. We are His, we belong to Him, and as our God and King He has absolute Kingship over us and over the whole universe; we belong to Him, and not to ourselves, and as his faithful and loyal children and subjects we must give Him all our obedience, submission and love, as He is all good and deserving of all our love, submission and obedience! God bless you.

So power has little or nothing to do with it.

Are you saying that merely because a person is good “in your opinion” that I must be obedient to whatever they say?

What I am saying is that it is NOT *at all *about mere power, but ALL about God-given AUTHORITY. God has absolute authority over all His creation because He is its Creator, and as Father of us all and Lord and King over us all He has the authority to rule over us as He sees best fit. Please remember that He owns us, and that we do not own ourselves. We are His! And His we should always wish to be! God bless you!

So its a self imposed authority, and thus it is about power.

If it is about the fact that “he created us”, you still have not shown the logical connection between him creating us and having the right to condemn us. You are merely demanding that there be a meaningful connection between the two. I still don’t see how that means he can rule over us as he sees fit, accept in a very nihilistic might makes right sense of power.

In that case what reason is there to serve accept for fear?

Clearly, you haven’t love of/understanding of/respect for the sovereignty and authority of God, so I will end my posts here and leave this thread. All I can do for someone in your shoes is pray for you, as you are blinded by an unfortunate lack of humility on your part, which will keep you from accepting the truth about God’s sovereignty and authority over all His creation. (I honestly mean no disrespect to you, and only wish to fraternally correct you for charity’s sake and the sake of your poor soul). Friend, you are not in a good way at all, as you have no understanding and respect for the sovereignty/authority of God, Who is Lord above all, rightfully possessing all the dominion-ship that comes with being Supreme Lord and Ruler, Creator and King over all creation. God bless you.

I do love God. I don’t love a God who rules by might and makes rules by might and condemns by might.

My God’s nature is love, his being is love; that is his power. The universe and humanity contingently exists within and is sustained within the nature that is essentially “Love” and thus our actions are necessarily measured by the nature that is love because love is the very act by which we exist move and have power.

It is not God that condemns or punishes us. We either act in unity with love or disunity.

God does not create hell. We create hell. Hell is the state of our disunity with God and it is of our own making.

God always loves. He never rejects or condemns or creates hell, for it is logically impossible for God to do so. Justice is merely a figurative word describing our rejection of God and our creation of hell. The justice of God is that we can turn away from God for all eternity. That is justice. We punish ourselves. God does nothing of the sort.

That is a God worth worshipping. Jesus rode in on a donkey, not as a tyrant on a throne dictating laws and passing judgements. God is both a master and a servant. A true king lives to serve the needs of the people, not to subjugate them.

If you knew this all along, why did you ask? Just kidding:)
