I’ve thought about those answers too, but I’ve partaken in Seder meals (which are completely symbolic) and to me, partaking in the Seder without thinking about His sacrifice in the cross makes you miss out on an opportunity in growing closer to God, but I wouldn’t say that it’s profaning His body and blood. Like I said, that just seems too extreme a punishment for a symbol.Could unworthily mean receiving without believing in or discerning or remembering His sacrifice on the cross for us all? Not distinguishing how He gave up His body for us? I don’t know just throwing that out there as a possible Protestant answer.![]()
