What can we give to God that He does not possess already?

How might this be accomplished?

What we do with our deaths.

Death was a punishment we exacted on OURSELVES. What we do with our deaths (give ourselves in love or to not do so).

We can use the “curse” of death to give to God we He does not already posess.

I would suggest LOVE. It is the first commandment. Love is free act of our will. We alone control that will.

Our true hearts and our free will to love him. We all have that POTENTIAL, but some of us have not given our hearts to Jesus yet.

Prayer and evangelizing.

This is also my answer.

He doesn’t possess our love for Him, that must be freely given.

I suppose you can add adoration and thanks to the list…

…also reparations.

Quite right. He gives us the ability to love and a great capacity for love, but alows us to decide the object of our love. And, what we choose to love reveals the disposition of our hearts. Since love is not a feeling but rather, a conscious decision, He knows that we have freely chosen to love Him. And, that love is what he has given away, but which He delights in receiving back - since He is the source of all love. Like His word (Isaiah 55:11), God’s love does not return to Him void, but produces fruits which are pleasing to Him and which give Him glory.

God already has infinite being and is the creator and master of all created beings. Everything that we have, that we could possibly think of giving to him, is actually his gift to us. This includes love.

To answer the thread’s question objectively, word for word, with no romancing:

we can’t give God anything. He can’t get anything from us.

We love him not because he gets anything, but for our own salvation.

I know that doesn’t sound as lovely as other posts on this thread,
but what is the purpose of this philosophy section if we don’t seek the truth? 🤷

God does not control my free will. What is freely given back to God…(Faith, Hope and Love)…was not His by His choice…and endures for our salvation by His choice.

“So let us give praise to God for His Mercy endures forever.”

The fact that God has given us the power to frustrate His Will demonstrates that we are not “possessed” by Him. Diabolical possession is a deadly alternative to life in heaven. We have the astonishing power to reject His love because He has renounced control of our choices, decisions and eternal destiny. Only divine love is capable of such a sublime sacrifice…

Freedom is our most precious gift without which we would be incapable of unselfish love. We are not slaves but potential saints - or devils. Jesus became a man so that we can become His brothers and sisters rather than His rivals and enemies. “If you love me keep my commandments” sums up His mission on earth and His message to us. We can give Him ourselves as the saints have done by caring for others - even if it is only with a prayer.

I still think our death is something we can give to Him that He dosent have. Death was not something He gave us…we merited it by our own actions. Offering our death to Him is the only gift we can give Him that He dosen’t have.

Angels already love God.

I would say that God created us as a gift. Not for any gain for Himself, but that we might know His love.

I agree…We experience that yearning joy to share what we have…does not God?

Does not the Apostle use the expression…“to make our joy complete”?

i believe the scripture is something like" well done good and faithful servant"

God does not have any attributes
“he” or “she” is just OM.
We are the ones who need to look at this as if there are attributes.

I guess you could say that the manifestations in the universe are the attributes, for me that is what all the deities symbolizes anyway. But that might just be me.
