Cardinal Burke owes obedience to the Holy Father. Not the other way around.
So, so long as a person says positive things about the Pope, posters can attack anyone else in the clergy?Cardinal Burke owes obedience to the Holy Father. Not the other way around.
Not that anyone said that . . .So, so long as a person says positive things about the Pope, posters can attack anyone else in the clergy?
See this right here is the typical behavior that I know 13politicos has talked about in the past. Question why it seems there is tacit support for changing established doctrine in the hierarchy and say you wish the Pope would be more clear and not ambiguous in his statements, and you get “You fundamentalist cretin, who do you think you are and what gives you the right to be disobedient to the Pope. Shut up and tithe”. It’s getting old. It’s really worrying that Catholics have become so comfortable slamming the Holy Father like this. Fundamentalism has plagued the Church since the beginning and is a devastating cancer on the transmission of the Gospel…
To talk about the Pope in the way you guys talk about him is surely a hellish lack of ‘discretion and measure’.
Even your language here is identical to the poor souls trapped in the cult of protest that one might see over at CARM.Emeraldlady:![]()
