Does anyone know anything about this religion? i am just curious. I know a lot of celebrities believe in their stuff, but celebrities tend to be wacky anyway! :whacky: can anyone explain to me about their beliefs? their history? i would appreciate it. i have been trying to google it all morning but i just keep coming up with the same stuff “scientology kills its a cult” or “scientology will save you life its the best thing ever” but nothing on history or beliefs. can you clear it up for me!?

You might do a search on this forum…there has been a lot about it here. Also, check google …Rick Ross he is a cult expert…

🙂

Just remember the 12-headed dragon living under the volcano on some planet. I can’t remember the planet’s name, but the dragon makes ingrams that mess people up. More later.

Dragon?? are you serious??

As I recall… my theology teacher started gagging when it was mentioned… and said something about it being an evil cultist “religion”

It was started by Sci Fi author L. Ron Hubbard - who is credited with making a comment once about not getting rich writing, and that the way to get rich was to start a religion - the viloa - he starts one 😉 There are other rumors that he actually made a bet that he could start a religion and get people to follow it… some google searches will give you references to these and other interesting tidbits.

I’ve read “Dianetics” nutty new age garbage…

It’s really amazing how many people believe in scientology, considering that it’s founder, L. Ron Hubbard, didn’t.

The same with Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Mormans; it’s obvious that Joe Smith, didn’t believe in “his” religion either.

I have found a lot of information at:

xenu.net/

They have lists of people that are in this, along with people that have left it, who are explaining what life in scientology is about.
It is about what you would expect from some stupid role playing game.(Not surprising since it was invented by a [bad] science fiction writer). Only this is messing up real people’s lives.
There is also a connection to the euthanasia movement. The scientologists are very big on killing off the “unfit”…
I feel very sorry for those who have been hurt by it. I also have to feel sorry for those that are so caught up in practicing it, that they are turned into zombies–& don’t even know it!
This site is heavy on sarcasm; but, don’t let that keep you from using it. I have found more info here than all the other places I have looked at…

Good work Zooey.

There is a lot of information on the net. You might also try and find the Anderson report into Scientology. The report was done for the State of Victoria government in Australia during the 1960s. The report was the result of an inquiry and royal commission into their activities.

What I can personally tell you is that Scientology is based upon the occult. Yes, that is right. There is occult activity mixed up in this cult. Hubbard was a follower and friend of Alistair Crowley.

What I can also tell you is that members of Scientology behave a lot like members of the Nazi party. They are fed on propaganda and they feed propaganda to the general public.

What I can tell you is that Hubbard had a system where people were classifed in tones. If they were considered to be level 2 or lower then they were considered better off dead. Terri Schindler in terms of Scientology had less than a level 2 tone level because of her disability.

I can tell you that Scientology rips people off. It bilks them of money to the point they end up in debt and many of the members then commit suicide.

I can tell you that Scientologists tend to be paranoid about many things, especially what they allege to be government interference.

I can tell you that Scientologists promote eugenics and especially euthanasia for those they consider to be not worth having around - the sick, mentally ill and disabled in particular.

Scientology is bad news. That is why I find certain male stars to be a total turn off. I cannot understand how any Christian woman could be attracted to these particular stars (though I am less turned off by John Travolta because of his inherent goodness)

It is more than nutty and New Age. It is downright dangerous, especially to the mentally ill.

Wow, this just says it all for me, especially when Mr. Crowley is involved!
