Although it is the exception, a person can be united to the Catholic Church without appearing to be so. In such a case, they could be saved through their union with the Catholic Church.I have another question because of what you stated above
Because of your loyalty to the Papacy–how do you or any other pre-Vatican II catholics reconcile the CC once saying no one can be saved outside the CC to they can but under certain circumstances?
Thanks![]()
A person who was completely sincere, baptized, and doing their best to follow Christ, can possibly be united to the Catholic Church as long as they have not knowingly rejected its teachings.
Regarding Traditional and non-Traditional Catholic. Unfortunately, Liberalism has invaded the Church. Traditional Catholics are those who have not been influenced by this spirit of Liberalism.
One of the many hallmarks of Liberalism is that it makes a rule out of the exception, and thereby destroys the rule. We find an example of this with “no salvation outside the Church”. They focus so much attention on the “possibilities”, and “exceptions”, and “might or could be’s” that they end by deny the rule. In the past, the Church focused on the “rule” and rarely mentioned the “exception”.
