The most annoying thread I have ever read, here or on the internet:

This seems to always occur after I have the perfect answer and have spent hours formulating ever nuance of ever word to deliver a post of such incredible scope that I might well be the first lay Pope. Then as I hit “submit” to send this coup de gras on its way and answer some poor misguided soul, I find that the poor misguided soul final went one step too far in my absence and managed to shut the whole thread down.

Tell me I am not the only one this has happened to.
Yep, happened to me more than a few times.

And who knows, it might have been my own fault. Some of the most annoying posts I’ve read are my own lol.

Hi

Your post is very interisting indeed.

Thanks

The most annoying post is the one that, after concerted effort and diligent research, is never answered.

What about catholics who think ‘Non-Catholic Religions’ is a place to bash all non-catholic religions and create self serving threads pretending to want discussion and instead giving us all the ‘WE HAVE THE TRUTH YOU’RE GOING TO HELL’ business.

Perhaps the most annoying thing is when people on both sides don’t understand charity and the purpose of civil discussion. When people don’t see bad in themselves.
Hi

A good post indeed.

Thanks

My Top Ten:
  1. Women should not wear slacks.
  2. Obstetricians and gynecologists are anti-natural childbirth and pro-C-section.
  3. The hymn “Gather Us In” is lame, puerile, non-Catholic, un-musical, not appropriate for Mass, etc.
  4. The Latin Mass is the only true Mass. The OF is flawed and not as reverent.
  5. Everyone can learn chant.
  6. Children should not be expected to sleep through the night because they have to eat every half hour until they’re at least three years old. Moms should not plan on sleeping through the night either, but should sleep in snatches throughout the years while they have children at home.
  7. The piano/guitar is a worldly instrument and not appropriate for Catholic Churches.
  8. Coat racks in a church are a Protestant innovation and NOT appropriate for Catholic churches.
  9. Pope John Paul II was a bad pope.
And here it is–the Number One most annoying thing that I’ve read on this forum:
  1. President Obama is pro-life.

The Catholic church is a legend (unrefutable) in its own mind.
I’m sorry. Napsack but the facts of history, Scripture and reason are against you.

If the best you can do is throw out opinionated one-liners, you have my pity and my prayers.

 :rotfl:
We actually had our 1st son’s doctor tell us we should wake our son up (he was under 6 weeks) to feed him every so often. Our response (not to his face, of course 😃 ) was that HE should be the one to wake him up and then try to get him back to sleep!! Our first son was terrible with the being up/crying not going back to sleep after eating. Fortunately at 7 weeks he started sleeping through the night. 👍

A couple to add:
It is sinful to hold hands during the Our Father.

Harry Potter books are harmful

Number one in on your list comes in many flavors usually along the lines of “those who oppose abortion are the cause of abortions and those who support unrestricted abortion on demand are really pro-life.”

Oh! This is easy!

“You have been assigned one point for failure of charity.” 😊
One point!!! Ive never been assesed less than 5 for a violation!

Dont you just love it when you log on and have a message wating that says:

Ha! Yep, usually it’s a facepalm and a ‘what have you done now Ben’ 😃
What’s worse is when you reply to a mod about an infraction, but his reply has the same title as the original one so you think you have ANOTHER infraction.

For me, this can be distilled down to one thing. People tend to go ad hominem much too quickly. If one cannot refute a point with facts and a coherent counter-argument, resorting to “oh yea, well your mother wears army boots…” just sends the discussion into the abyss.

When someone posts something that another strongly disagrees with it is a great opportunity for a civilized, respectful exchange of ideas. Isn’t this the point of a forum such as this?

The most annoying thing i read is Protestants who keep bringing up the same old tired non-arguments… against Catholicism…

I don’t think i should name names… or should I??

To be totally honest, i haven’t kept good track of who says what here… but anyway… some of you have…

So… What is the most annoying thing you feel you have to deal with here?
I would not call it annoying, more like disappointed by misinformed Christians, or basic “Lies” being told about my Catholic faith. Especially when a non Catholic or Protestant tries to tell me what my Catholic church teaches when she doesn’t.

I would add the word “difficult” because those outside the “Apostolic” teachings from the Catholic church are set in a 20th century mindset inventing new ways to protest the One Holy Catholic Apostolic church. What is difficult, is convincing these and others to calm down and learn of the Catholic faith first before believing what others wrongly teach them about the Catholic faith. But thank God for the Holy Spirit.

I cannot apply the term “annoy” for we are called to proclaim the gospel. Consider all those Saints and Martyrs who went to their deaths for the Catholic faith since the first century.

Lies being told about protestants are equally annoying also.

I don’t get annoyed by the Protestants because I was there for 40+ years and know exactly where they are coming from.

Sheesh…

The only reason for doing what your doctor suggests is if the kid isn’t gaining weight. If he IS, then cherish your great good luck!

Diana, mother of five, none of whom slept through the night until they were nearly three months old. Gak.

The second most annoying thing I’ve read on the forum is the questions which have already been asked and answered a hundred times on AAA. Dosen’t anyone check out the AAA forum before asking a question?

That’s EXACTLY what we thought! Let sleeping babies lie. 😃

Yikes! Although with our second I have no recollection of when he actually continuously slept through the night. It was hit or miss for about a year - year and a half. 😦

Sorry everyone for going off topic. 😊 I like to commiserate with other Moms.
