i thought anglicans are seeking union with the CC. it must be safe to say you are not one of them. you just like the hijacked Catholic Creed to be said in your church. i get it. since you are a professor of the Creed, at least admit that the Creed is not rightly yours.

Sorry, your case still doesn’t hold water. The Catholic Church does have ONLY one belief system as you readily admit to. Just because some members don’t know their own faith does not make it false. Even still just because some folks have it wrong, they don’t go running off to create their own little faction down the road.
 
And how does it feel to belong to a Church that decided to leave just because the king of England decided he wanted a divorce ???

Ah ok, now you can do the bashing and that is ok. The very first thing you do when you find out what church I belong to is bash it. I just don’t want to hear you whining and playing the victim the next time it happens to you.

Your argument isn’t valid because you will not apply it to every circumstance that it lends itself to. Many Protestant churches have one system of beliefs just as yours does. just because one of those members doesn’t conform to those beliefs don’t make that church invalid or (all over the map) either. Fair is fair my friend.

Maybe some Anglicans are seeking union with Rome but certainly not the majority.

And what about the majority of Catholics who voted for Obama over McCain? Why isn’t the Catholic church booting those folks out. That certainly isn’t in conforming with the church.

Anglicans are not seeking union with the Roman church. We have not hijacked anything. The Anglican church has RETAINED the creed it said before it split with Rome. What in the world is the childish kind of claim that somehow professions of faith BELONG to some entity and not others? Are you not pleased that people adhere and believe these things?

How does it feel to be the church that instituted the Inquisition? You see? What is the point of this? Is this a Christian thing to say? This ugly type of speech is uncalled for, it’s UnChristian, and its most uncharitable. I continue to find it hard to understand why a few Roman Catholics seem angry to see Jesus loved and worshiped unless according to their faith rules.

Could everyone just consider that for a moment and move on to the original topic posted by OP.

Does anyone agree that we should “move on” from the topic of Catholic and Protestant bashing? :confused:

I asked about these “facts” that you know about and you still haven’t provided them. If anyone is trying to prove someone wrong it is YOU not me.

That isn’t a Christian thing to say either. Catholics are not angry to see Jesus loved and worshiped by anyone regardless of their faith choice.
