Participating in the celebration of the Holy Mass is the greatest prayer there is. With Jesus we offer His Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity along with ourselves to God. He then showers us with His Grace - how much we receive depends on how well we have prepared for and participated in the Liturgies.
Do we spend time before Mass in Prayer?
Do we speak the our responses out loud?
Do we sing?can’t sing-do we hum the melody?
Do we listen to the reading from the OT, NT and the Gospel?
When we make our 3 little crosses on the forehead, lips, and heart do we really think about their meaning?
Do we listen to the homily and try to keep a nugget to ponder on?
Do we listen and participate in the Eucharistic Liturgies?
Do we receive Holy Communion while in a state of Grace or in mortal sin? (fornication, ABC, missing Mass without a good reason, etc.)
Do we spend time after Communion to thank Our Lord for His Gifts?
Do we spend time in prayer after Mass in Eucharistic Adoration?
Are we quiet and courteous at all times in church?
Do we genuflect in front of the Tabernacle when we enter and leave the building?
Do we pray for peace on earth, the release of the souls in purgatory, all our baptised christians and all peoples everywhere?
Do we beg the Lord to be mindful of the poor, those that are sick and the dying.? Those in prison, the lonley, the outcasts of society?
Do we beg for mercy for all our sins and ask for the strength to resist Satan and all sin?
The Holy Mass is Prayer at its finest-I pray we all strive to pray It to the best of our ability
Jesus is present in the Word. He is there as Victim and as Priest and in the communion of saints-Praise God! Alleluia, Alleluia!i
